  1. Brewers already won the SS extravaganza. Hoyer easily could have made that trade but he was too enamored with his Baez/Sogard combo.
  2. Fear not, they've added JaVale McGee, and... Keldon Johnson...
  3. Seems odd to take him in the 6th. With his profile I don't imagine he had many interested teams.
  4. Seems odd to label Caissie a bat-only guy if some scouts think he could handle CF. I mean he's a big dude but reportedly moves quite well. I feel like everything I've seen has said he'll either be a RF or a 1B long term. And when 1B gets even a mention it's usually not the best sign for long term defensive value. Trying to find where I read that but I agree with what you say. I just recall recently (like within the last 2 weeks) reading that CF is a possibility in some scouts minds.

  6. I used to have a black Cubs hat with white-outlined black block lettered CHICAGO across the front and on the skull area there was all the different logos from over the years. It was given to me by an old gf and at first I thought it was too busy but over time I grew to love it. I am trying to find it on Google images and am coming up empty. Anyone know the hat I'm talking about? I remember it was celebrating 100 years of something MLB and the tag inside was gold as well as the MLB logo on the back IIRC.
  7. Maybe they need to change the format. This is some kind of domination.
  8. Aw they're horsefeathering distracted because the GM said sellin is a coming BECAUSE THEY ROLLED OVER FOR TWO WEEKS. You guys held your own destiny and you sank your season in a flash. I've never seen a team change the tune so quickly, but you all only have yourselves to blame.
  9. FWIW Narvaez has been way better than Willy and Molina, so good for him.
  10. Smokies are up 10-0 in the 2nd, Davis has a pair of singles. Sent from my motorola one 5G UW using Tapatalk
  11. No, he's available off the bench tonight, but in the 9th with the bases loaded, we will surely call on Chirinos instead. Sent from my motorola one 5G UW using Tapatalk
  12. It's insane how great he is against both sides pitching too. I'd venture that the list is short of pitchers to ISO 400 against both sides. He's just absolutely having one of the greatest seasons we've ever witnessed. Sent from my motorola one 5G UW using Tapatalk
  13. Of course the Brewers are the first team to take deGrom deep twice in a game this year ERA now at 1.11
  14. Last 30 days Cubs: 194/275/361 Sogard 2021: 250/287/313 You know what they say; you're only as good as your weakest link
  15. He was only going to cover one inning. Saving him for the seventh when the Reds would have better hitters due up is not a bad decision. You don't need to be so rigid with your usage. The rest of the league has seemed to figure this out. Could easily have asked Chafin to get 4 or 5 outs and handed it to Kimbrel.
  16. Rossy, you've been really shitty lately managing your staff.
  17. To Yelich? Not apples to apples; just that it looks like they potentially got a legit star-quality player for a low cost. Adames is mashing with Milwaukee. Went 3-3 with another HR tonight. saying he's a star because of like 40 games probably isn't smart. saying he'll be anything close to what they got with yelich is dumb. we can trash the cubs and admit they are a trainwreck without sucking off the brewers This is the general baseball forum you dick
  18. Really fell right into their trap, Anthony. You suck.
  19. Lmao 2nd Marlins pitcher in 4 years to do it. Both hit Acuna Jr. Too funny.
  20. is this a serious comparison? To Yelich? Not apples to apples; just that it looks like they potentially got a legit star-quality player for a low cost. Adames is mashing with Milwaukee. Went 3-3 with another HR tonight.
  21. Really? This is like the 10th or 11th best season of my 40 year life. Don't even try to pretend like some of those early 90s Tribune owned teams were any fun beyond 2 or 3 players. Just a week ago they were 10 games over 500.
  22. I don't know wtf they're waiting for. They are severely lacking bats and they don't really have a CF worth a horsefeathers. The Sogard experience has to end sometime, right? Neifi effing Perez all over again. At least Neifi hit 400 for a month and hit a big granny against the Cardinals though
  23. The Brewers trade for Adames is looking like Yelich all over again. He's at about 150 PA with both teams now. With Rays: 7/36 BB/K%, 197/254/371 74 wRC+ With Brewers: 11/24 BB/K%, 280/362/523 wRC+ If he maintains that for the rest of the year he would post career best numbers in pretty much every category. And last year he was 25% above average for 54 games. This was quite a shrewd move. They have him for 3 seasons after this one also. Stearns with another coup.
