That was the 8th. It was annoying for sure. Willy walked on 4 pitches and Rizzo went up there and swung at 3/4 pitches, 2 in the dirt. Now I'm not saying he should have known to lay off those pitches, because they were well executed high-spin curves. But I do wish he would have given himself the take sign at 1-1 and tried to work the count into his favor. All game we just looked unprepared for the deluge of offspeed we were showered with. Not many good swings all night and a lot of chasing. Joc chased one of the highest pitches I've ever seen be offered at. On GD it registered as being up and in, if another entire strike zone were placed atop the real one. Really didn't like our approach tonight.
