  1. Doesn't the other account usually handle this part now? I don't think there's anything stupid about it btw, but you're so exasperating at this point that I'm mostly annoyed at how much you get to curse I ignore your posts the vast majority of the time because I think you're an idiot, because you're bad at scouting, because you're bad at logic and because you repeat stupid ideas like this over and over again... Yes, my cursing is definitely a problem. Are you clutching your pearls?
  2. Seriously, shut the horsefeathers up about the Cubs bringing up Brennen Davis. It's not happening and it's a stupid idea.
  3. [tweet] [/tweet]I'm really happy Strop is back. He should boost team morale if nothing else.

  5. Good article on Hawk-Eye tech: [tweet] [/tweet] I can't really discuss the accuracy of Hawk-Eye in professional tennis because it always recreates a 3D rendering of the line call and where it "says" the ball bounced, but I've never seen a top tennis player ever question the technology. They seem pretty happy with the results/accuracy. This will be the tech MLB uses when an automated strike zone is deemed ready (probably 2022 or 2023).
  6. [tweet] [/tweet]This is hilarious lol I hate Steve Stone so much... You know Jim Deshaies would know what Pokemon/Pikachu is. Also, for those unaware/older crowd here, you're super horsefeathering annoying if you're a Ness main in Smash. Just spamming horsefeathering PK thunder and PK fire all day.
  7. Good video and breakdown of Onyeka Okongwu: [bbvideo=1280,720] [/bbvideo] I've had some time to think about what the Bulls should do now that they have the #4 pick in the draft. It's obviously not the best draft to have such a high draft pick, but it is what it is... I like Onyeka Okongwu after watching some more clips and reading more about him. They compare him to Bam Adebayo in this video and they actually faced each other in HS. Pretty similar measurements (7'2" wingspan for Okongwu vs. 7'3" for Adebayo). Pretty similar games too. Okongwu is the better shot blocker based on stats in college. He's definitely the best defensive big in this draft class. Someone that would complement Lauri Markkanen pretty well. You could also play him alongside Wendell Carter w/ Carter sliding to the 4, but Carter would really need to improve his outside shot to make that work... Okongwu is not a shooter and I don't know if he'll ever develop into an elite offensive player. He's a great rim runner and should be able to finish alley-oops pretty well. Get offensive rebounds and make some easy putbacks. I think his ceiling is around 10-15 ppg? He's not a playmaker and won't get many assists. His value is really tied to his contributions on the defensive end. I would rather take someone with a higher ceiling at #4, but if the top 3 (LaMelo, A. Edwards and J. Wiseman) are all taken then the options become limited. I don't want the Bulls to take Deni Avdija and I would absolutely hate that selection. I think my best hope is some team in the 7-10 range really likes Tyrese Haliburton or Obi Toppin and wants to move up, allowing the Bulls to slide down and draft Okongwu or Saddiq Bey plus some additional assets/draft picks.

  9. [tweet] [/tweet]https://theathletic.com/2033194/2020/08/31/beyond-the-last-dance-podcast-series-further-explores-bulls-dynastic-years/ I'm really looking forward to listening to this series. I definitely wanted more episodes like everyone that watched the doc. I think there's a lot more they could cover on that Bulls dynasty (and the subsequent collapse).

  18. [tweet] [/tweet]Not sure how much this helps in terms of allowing more trades to happen. Most of the stats are largely meaningless because of the difference in skill level/development and it's only intrasquad games. I guess accurate data on spin rates/velo for pitchers is meaningful and useful. Trades will definitely happen later this month, but it'll be PTBNL and most of the top prospects at these alternate sites won't be available in trades.
  19. Not a huge priority, but I think we need to cut Steven Souza Jr. and Almora. We could add better backup OF/bench bats at the trade deadline for minor prospects. I hate Almora and I'm not impressed with Souza. Hopefully, we have a little bit of money to add some better bats and create a deeper roster. Zobrist would be perfect for this team with the DH available now...
