I think the reason it’s not reviewable is that too many things happen dependent on the original call after. Imagine this identical play happens in the bottom of the 9th of a tie playoff game. You review it and see it hit the ground, but what’s the ultimate call? If the call on the field was no catch Bryant is going to ensure he gets the lead runner, can we assume he would’ve been out or that there would be a double play? I know and that's why I have it as a question instead of a statement... It's difficult to breakdown and determine how to properly rule it, but maybe it needs to be ruled like interference or something like that? If every team is told all catches/trap plays are reviewable now then maybe players will be told to react based on what they think happened. It's complicated no doubt. I'm not exactly sure how to determine this exact play or what should happen, but I feel like all catches should be reviewable.
