  1. Really? You want to come back with that organization and that team? Cubs would be a great team for him if we didn't have shitty owners...
  2. Disagree. Not when it gives someone a heart attack or worse... I was concerned that playing in empty parks wouldn't capture the same emotions as a normal game but this game officially proved otherwise Yeah, that was stressful AF and you could tell Kimbrel was feeling the pressure (even in an empty ballpark).

  4. Nah His command is just poor in general now. His command was always poor, but have 97-100 made that breaking ball play up. Imo. Command may be worse now but he was never a command guy, the stuff and velo just covered for him. No, his command wasn't always poor... It's clearly gotten worse and yeah, having better stuff helps but he still has decent velo on the fastball. Just doesn't locate it well and the fastball is elevated too often. The knuckle curve is usually too low or too inside on lefties or thrown too far away from righties to chase.
  5. He needs 97-100+ to make it work Nah His command is just poor in general now.
  6. 2nd rounder I believe. Are you guys talking about Burl Carraway? Yeah, we took him in the 2nd round and we'll probably see him in a couple weeks. Maybe towards the end of August.
  7. We'll get this bullpen sorted out and maybe add some additional arms at the trade deadline... I'm most concerned about Kimbrel at the end of games.
  8. For anyone that missed it. He's on pace for 45 HRs I believe lol?
  9. Nice post. I am not able to read the whole article here but am just going off the excerpt. It seems like what the author is expecting as far as a direct action plan to address systemic racism in MLB isn't realistic/doesn't have much precedence in sports. Does the article have detail about what the MLB should be doing instead? On the surface, this feels a lot like the "disorganization" critiques of the Occupy movement. I'd love to be educated/proven wrong ...the article is free for everyone who signs up for basic membership at Baseball Prospectus. Another good excerpt from the article: [tweet] [/tweet]

[tweet]https://twitter.com/keithlaw/status/1287847856133505030[/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]This will be very painful for people who wanted the Cubs to take Nate Pearson back in 2017. I wanted Pearson and I thought he wouldn't last and be available with our 2 picks at the back of the 1st round... we should always remember we took Brendon Little over this guy. Probably the top rated pitching prospect in MLB now and he should've broke with the big league team, but he needed to "work on his defense" or some dumb shitty reason.
  12. [tweet] [/tweet]Beautiful swing in the top clip above. As I was saying earlier, this kid is having a very loud summer and is definitely getting noticed now. He's rocketing up the draft rankings.

  14. We'll always have this amazing gif:
  15. Yeah, I was hoping he would pass through waivers unclaimed and we'd get to keep him. Really frustrating because it would suck if he goes on and develops into a solid player/bench player with another team. No doubt he was a brief sparkplug for us last year. I really wish he went to some team in the AL or another division.

  17. Travis d'Arnaud and Tyler Flowers both have COVID symptoms, and were the only catchers on the Braves 30 man. Yeah, I just read that. I knew William would come up at some point this year for the Braves, just not this soon.
  18. https://twitter.com/WContreras40/status/1286844111027408897 Whoa... I did not know Willson's younger brother was already up with the Braves. That's awesome and he's pretty talented as well.
