While chalking this up as a win at this point is dubious, you have to add Folty in their too. I'm pretty confident the Cubs are winning this game. It's too early, but I have a good feeling. Blame me if they end up losing lol.

Hopefully there’s a few left around pick 65. Because that’s where our first pick is after signing Bryce. You don't lose a 1st round pick for signing FAs who received a QO in the latest CBA. The Cubs would still have their 1st round pick after signing Bryce Harper. You lose your second highest pick so for the Cubs that would be their 2nd round pick. EDIT: Double-checking this because someone always mentions this and gets it wrong. I'm right and the Cubs would lose their 2nd round pick. Milwaukee still had their 1st round pick in the 2018 draft even after signing Lorenzo Cain (who received a QO from KC). -

Indians aren't as good as they appear to be. Half their games this year have been against KC, CWS, Detroit & Minn. Imagine how good all our players' stats would be if that were the case for us. I mean they are a very dangerous and talented team come postseason time. Yeah, they got to beatup on some crappy teams and the AL Central is the worst division by far. Still, I think their bullpen has really let them down this year and they've fixed that for the most part. I wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs.

Ah, moving on... Cubs made some moves today. Addition-by-subtraction style: Well, goodbye Rob Z and Luke Farrell. I'd say we'll miss you, but then I'd be lying.

I just wanted to say your profile name is awesome. I'm pretty sure you went by another name before "Bote McBoteface" but I totally get why you changed it. Good name! :good: EDIT: Jaime could still be decent as a LOOGY I guess. No harm in testing it out and seeing if it might work. Duensing sucks and Rosario and Wilson are very shaky/unreliable.

It's the name that Pizza Hut's marketing decided to give the personal pan pizza. Fun Fact: the Pizza Hut in my hometown shut down for repeated health code violations. Also, probably shut down due to poor sales. I hope Pizza Hut is the next corporate brand to go the way of Radioshack.

That would be an okay outcome. The Dodgers take out the Cardinals in the elimination game and the Cubs get revenge on the Dodgers for last year. Totally fine with that.

Are you 5 years younger than me? Carmelo is a 10 time all-star and 3 time Olympic gold medalist (who I believe led the Team USA in scoring at least once). There are 6 players who have 24,000 points, 6,000 rebounds, 2,500 assists, 1,000 steals, and 1,000 3s; Kobe, Vince Carter, LeBron, Dirk, Pierce, and Carmelo. He also put together one of the best ever freshman seasons in college hoops history: 22/10 and a title. He's a first-ballot guy. Ah, whoops. Damn, I didn't look at his stats. That's crazy impressive. I knew he was high-scorer, but I still want to know how efficient he was and what his career FG% is. These last couple years haven't been great, but he was very good before that. His reputation isn't great either among players and his defense was suspect. Still, he's going into the HoF w/ those numbers.

[tweet] [/tweet] So very true, unfortunately. So Moss just got inducted into the NFL HoF and Pujols is a first-ballot HoF player and they were among the best at their respective positions. Pretty sure Carmelo isn't getting into the NBA HoF. Obviously, context is important for this question. I'm assuming it's geared toward younger people. A 5-year difference doesn't really change the perception of these players for older people.
