    172 days is one year of service time. I'm pretty sure Rizzo has 68. My math could be wrong (in fact all my numbers could be wrong) but I think that would mean that May 22 would be the soonest he could come up without burning a full year of service time.

    Having read Hamels' "explanation" for why he hit Harper, I still don't get it. It was his first AB against Hamels. It isn't as though he disrespected him or broke one of the "unwritten rules". Hamels is apparently just pissed off that a 19 year old kid with a bad haircut is playing professional baseball? He comes off like a curmudgeonly old weirdo. Am I missing something? Edit: Beat by TT.

    He's out of options, which is really the only reason he 'won' the job over Travis Wood to begin with. cmon... he clearly out-pitched him in ST. Which, as always, is proving to be meaningless. Well Wood has been called up to take Garza's start tomorrow, so we'll get to make a first hand comparison.
