  1. that ho has a gigantic shnoz. no wonder she is crazy
  2. I suspect he WAS sleeping. Permanently. no he was dead perhaps he was just playing dead
  3. i don't doubt that, but i find it hard to believe the difference in defense is big enough to make up for a 100+ point differential in ops how is mark reynolds' defense? because he's outhit zimmerman by quite a bit also. so have chipper and even casey blake. zimmerman is actually right in the middle of the pack in terms of offense from qualifying NL 3B it seems like zimmerman got in because of his hot start and hitting streak while his overall numbers were ignored
  4. bucher is also saying it's not happening
  5. i'd like for wrigley23 to explain to me why we now have a leadoff hitter who has been hitting badass and drawing walks....but we still aren't scoring runs. i mean, it was all soriano's fault, right?
  6. unless it has ryan theriot as an above average defender, i'm not sold.
  7. Sorry you don't like defensive metrics. and i'm sorry that you think they actually mean something Seriously? You really think that they mean nothing? I'll agree that they're not perfect by any means, but to say they're meaningless seems awfully ignorant. i think they mean very little, yeah. sorry that i don't buy into a stat that is all over the place from year to year and has ryan theriot has an above average defensive shortstop this season. i guess his awful range actually works to his benefit somehow. kudos to uzr for picking that up. the funny part is that im sure rasmus is a fine center fielder. the problem is that uzr doesn't tell you that. oh well, i guess im just ignorant because i don't buy into a garbage stat that is beyond flawed *runs over to cardinals board to post ryan theriot's uzr*
  8. boozer is a free agent after next season too, so they'd wouldnt be able to sign him and another big name.
  9. or im just posting on a message board
  10. actually andruw has been a little better on the road this season
  11. Sorry you don't like defensive metrics. and i'm sorry that you think they actually mean something
  12. I wonder if we could send them some relievers for Barmes if they land Sanchez. why do you have such a hard on for barmes? -we need a middle infielder who can hit. -we dont have a lot of money to spend -Brames is a middle infielder who can hit. -Barmes makes 1.6 mil for the season, which is halfway over Barmes has terrible career numbers and has only been good for about his last 700 at-bats. His non-Coors numbers during those "good" 700 at-bats: 2008- .249/.281/.363 (.643) 2009- .266/.308/.418 (.725) career overall- .266/.305/.418 (723) i wouldn't be interested unless we got him for like a ptbnl later, which won't be the case. pass.
  13. seriously, just put this dude on the dl. it's obviously his knee is effecting him, he's been trash for like 2 months, and fox is raking. there's absolutely no reason NOT to DL him. unless of course you don't want his knee to heal and you want to see a .700 ops in thel ineup over like a .900+ ops.
  14. at least the 2004 team was good. they were frustrating as hell and unlikable, but they won 89 games in a pretty badass division. this year's team is just ridiculously boring.this is the least interested i've been in a cubs team since the early 2000's.
  15. yahoo is claiming that a bulls source has said they've had no talks with the jazz and that the rumor is false. i don't really buy that though. also the original rumoro n realgm said it would be kirk, tyrus, and a future first rounder for boozer. that's a little too much. kirk and tyrus should be able to get it done. let's keep in mind that boozer's injury history edit: sam smith also just tweeted this
  16. 2009: $5 million, 2010: $9 million, 2011: $12 million. Is he worth keeping with all those jumps in pay? I suppose one could say Hendry is a fool for spreading the money like that, but that's another story. this isn't the nfl. mlb contracts are guaranteed. if we cut him we'd still have to pay that.
  17. you act like soriano is regularly under .300 or something. he is awful right now, but i dont think anybody here thinks he should still be leading off right now.
  18. that was an effective post until you used uzr
  19. Only one of those players has more PS at bats than Soriano, and that's Dimaggio. I wouldn't consider anything under 100 AB in the post season an indicator. The rest: 64 AB, .314 OBP for Cobb 129 AB, .320 OBP for Mcgwire 47 AB, .317 OBP for Helton 140 AB, .304 OBP for Schmidt 106 AB .354 OBP for Bagwell 167 AB .297 OBP for Biggio 120 AB .301 OBP Piazza 68 AB, .315 OBP for Cabrera 174 AB, .263 OBP Soriano Why is 100 ABs the magical cutoff point? Because that's what makes his argument look better
  20. I love losing 2-1 games with our 2 best pinch hitters never getting in the game. Good job Lou
  21. see this is what i'm talking about. ryan braun has this magic ability to spark long winning streaks by simply forming sentences, but he only chooses to do it when it's convenient for him what a jerk
  22. then why doesn't everybody hate fielder too? braun gets a lot of crap because he is extremely cocky and acts like an a-hole. he's earned his d-bag title.
  23. i forgot about that stupid rule. but if they just put adam dunn in over pence like they should have, that wouldn't have been an issue. god the NL roster is botched in so many ways
  24. wells has been dominant for like a third of a full season now though
