  1. washburn is a contract year [expletive]
  2. good thing we gave him 2 years. you gotta lock that kind of ability up for as long as possible
  3. To use that list and then disregard payroll is absolutely ridiculous.
  4. The non-waiver trade deadline is looming Friday afternoon as Cubs front-office executives are looking at any number of patchwork deals to keep the team competitive. A left-handed reliever is a must. Pittsburgh's John Grabow remains the best of four or five available lefties. That list includes Baltimore's George Sherrill, Washington's Joe Beimel and Cincinnati's Arthur Rhodes. grabow is the worst of those 4
  5. btw, when i said marmol i said it strictly because i'd be terrified of him hitting me.
  6. that helps the dodgers this year but i dont think that's a very good trade for them long term at all. i think it would be pretty bad actually.
  7. the grand slam he just hit. oh wait that was adam dunn, sry mah bad he played a single intro a double the next inning though, so they took the 4 runs away
  8. maybe it's because defensive metrics are a joke
  9. no, you just dont understand value very well lol @ nyjer being worth 3 times as much as dunn this season and him being worth 22 million. hilarious
  10. that's the same formula that said willie harris was worth 15 million last season
  11. oh my god lou STOP BATTING REED JOHNSON LEADOFF AGAINST RIGHT HANDED PITCHING
  12. lol @ 2 things: 1) people paying attention to anything dave kaplan says 2) people not being willing to unload bradley's terrible contract
  13. Yeah but Dempster was legitimately good. I'm not saying Pineiro hasn't been good, but to give up a hit an inning with that few strikeouts is BS.
  14. That's definitely a good thought, but Lee would be a pretty big upgrade over what Harden's done this season. I don't know that taking on Lee's option (even though a great deal for a pitcher of his caliber) for next season would be a possibility, though. lee has been good, but he's gotten pretty lucky, at least ERA wise. isn't his WHIP around lie 1.30 or something?
  15. but it's not just that, it's also a ridiculous amount of luck. he only has 51 k's in 122 innings yet is only allowing a hit an inning. i don't care what kind of contact is being made... that's luck on the field, flat out.
  16. albert is so godly that he makes his own substance. it's not banned because it's so complex. albert is just that damn good also my friend had aids and he shook albert's hand and now he doesn't have aids anymore
  17. Seriously, this garbage is getting really old 51 strikeouts in 122.1 innings and only 121 hits and 3 HR GTFOOH
  18. this is very bad news. lilly is not the type of pitcher who can survive if he loses like 2-3 miles on his fastball
  19. -One no hitter -One perfect game -Faced the minimum three times in his career -Recorded a save in the World Series -Complete game in the ALCS -Started and recorded a win in the All Star Game -Hit a home run in interleague play i hate him
