  1. oh my god lou STOP BATTING REED JOHNSON LEADOFF AGAINST RIGHT HANDED PITCHING
  2. lol @ 2 things: 1) people paying attention to anything dave kaplan says 2) people not being willing to unload bradley's terrible contract
  3. Yeah but Dempster was legitimately good. I'm not saying Pineiro hasn't been good, but to give up a hit an inning with that few strikeouts is BS.
  4. That's definitely a good thought, but Lee would be a pretty big upgrade over what Harden's done this season. I don't know that taking on Lee's option (even though a great deal for a pitcher of his caliber) for next season would be a possibility, though. lee has been good, but he's gotten pretty lucky, at least ERA wise. isn't his WHIP around lie 1.30 or something?
  5. but it's not just that, it's also a ridiculous amount of luck. he only has 51 k's in 122 innings yet is only allowing a hit an inning. i don't care what kind of contact is being made... that's luck on the field, flat out.
  6. albert is so godly that he makes his own substance. it's not banned because it's so complex. albert is just that damn good also my friend had aids and he shook albert's hand and now he doesn't have aids anymore
  7. Seriously, this garbage is getting really old 51 strikeouts in 122.1 innings and only 121 hits and 3 HR GTFOOH
  8. this is very bad news. lilly is not the type of pitcher who can survive if he loses like 2-3 miles on his fastball
  9. -One no hitter -One perfect game -Faced the minimum three times in his career -Recorded a save in the World Series -Complete game in the ALCS -Started and recorded a win in the All Star Game -Hit a home run in interleague play i hate him
  10. ESPN article says he'll miss at least the first 2 months of the season Awesome. That puts a serious dent in our chances of finishing ahead of Detroit
  11. we've known that colvin sucks for quite a while now
  12. at least he didn't do his horrible "hell yes" thing that he seems to be doing routinely now
  13. we know. we also know that he more than makes up for it with his bat.
  14. i think the guy that posted that just doesn't know how to read.
  15. who cares. gary matthews jr is awful, and so is patterson. a ton of horrible players have great tools and talent. corey patterson has proven that he sucks.
  16. There's a huge difference between the performances and/or rosters of 2008 and 2009. The Cubs lineup last year was way better, than this year, plus the Cardinals lineup (If they add Holliday) is significantly better than it was last year. Two different lineups. This is all if they add Holliday. that's not at all what you said, but nice try.
  17. that's a pretty stupid statement. pujols was way better than any player on the cubs last year too. who scored more runs?
  18. Yeah, let's trade Vitters so we can have a catcher for 3 weeks. We might not have to give Vitters, but we may have to give Soto + good prospects for him. Only? I would definitely not make that trade I didn't say only. I wasn't advocating it. wow i completely misread that. i could have sworn it said only. sorry
  19. Yeah, let's trade Vitters so we can have a catcher for 3 weeks. We might not have to give Vitters, but we may have to give Soto + good prospects for him. Only? I would definitely not make that trade
