Do you think Bonds's surly demeanor outweighed the fact that he would've been the best hitter on most of the teams in baseball? It sure looks like that's the case doesn't it? I think what Tim said is mostly correct. Bonds is an extreme case and he had a lot of issues surrounding him to scare off other teams. However, Bradley has already alienated himself from a big chunk of the league and is known as baseball's biggest a-hole. Bonds kept getting deals because he was putting up awesome numbers and the fans hadn't turned on him. Albert Belle kept getting deals for the same reason until his hip gave out. Bradley is not on the level of Belle and Bonds, even when healthy. How many times is he going to piss someone off until a team trys to dump him and there are no takers? This time around, a team was so desperate to rid themselves of Bradley they took on a garbage pitcher whose contract would be the worst on the team for any team in baseball but the Cubs. What's going to happen when the Mariners tire of him? all the things you say about bradley were true before last offseason (and everybody knew it), and the cubs gave him 30 million. bradley and bonds are two completely different situations. if bradley hits, he'll be able to find a job.

And just imagine all of the tens of millions of dollars it has cost him. i doubt his attitude has cost him tens of millions of dollars

the sharks lost again too..... their 6th straight and 5th straight in regulation if the hawks get the 1 seed, hopefully detroit stays hot and passes colorado. theyre only 3 points behind them and the avalanche have an insane schedule the rest of the way (la x3, sj x2, phoenix, calgary, vancouver, chicago, anaheim, edmonton) colorado seems like a pretty good mathcup... at least compared to detroit

are the coyotes really "inferior" right now? they're 2 points behind the hawks and have won 8 straight. the hawks are slumping bad and have injuries. the coyotes were probably favorites going into the game

Like you mentioned the defense sucked, I don't blame Niemi for tonight. The Hawks couldn't clear the zone and Phoenix got some fortunate bounces as a result. i blame niemi as well as the defense. the defense has been a joke, but niemi sucked ass tonight too. the 2nd and 4th were soft, at least. not sure about the other 2. it's annoying because he can be dominant (he was amazing early and great in the overtime), but then he negates it by giving up soft goals. and im pretty much done with byfuglien and eager.

I believe they are, their last two goals were all about very poor defense by the Hawks, Hawks play a little better on defense tonight and they win 4-1. yeah they arent doing anything in the playoffs, but who cares. the hawks have been playing awful defense for like 2 months now. it's past the point where you can expect it to turn around. god i just hope we dont get detroit. they'd beat us right now. I agree, it would be awfully nice tomorrow if they Hawks play defense like they're capable of, if so, Phoenix doesn't have a chance. that game isnt until tuesday keith is really dissapointing. he needs to step up with campbell out, and he has been horrible.
