    assuming we don't blow this lead, we are guaranteed to play someone other than detroit in the first round. i want the 1 seed.... badly. vancouver still scares me the most, and the 1 seed would assure that we wouldn't have to face them until the WCF, and would also guarantee that we'd only have to go through one of vancouver/sj.

    i love how he has absolutely no patience with hitters or when pitchers like rich hill walk 2 guys in the first inning, but he CONSTANTLY sits in the bench and watches while relievers walk the building. -walk -walk *makes angry hand gesture towards rothschild to go out to the mound* -bunt -walk -3 run double on 2-0 pitch *is shown looking furious and flabbergasted in the dugout*

    so you whine about offense, then put in an automatic out for 2 straight games, just because soto had a couple bad days? brilliant... especially considering soto hit the ball hard multiple times in his first 2 games. this organization is run by [expletive] mongloids from top to bottom. if we aren't making the playoffs this season, i hope the season ends up more like 2006 than 2009. we need things to get ugly so they clean house.

    for some reason beckett has become underrated. he's been very good the last 3 years and has average close to 200 innings over that stretch. his numbers are pretty impressive when you consider where he pitches

    milton dropped a fly ball to lose the game in the 9th tonight. i felt bad for him. he did have a home run in the game though

    i was hoping they were past the "we're got a big lead, so we're going to stop playing" stuff. that 3rd period was disgusting oh well, brush it off and keep the momentum going. a 7 game winning streak to end the season and get the 1 seed would be big.

    the ducks blew a 3-0 lead to the kings and are now in overtime, meaning the kings will be at least tied with detroit for the 6 spot... and LA has the tiebreaker obviously this is not good since we need detroit to stay out of the 7 seed
