    2 more things to consider (in addition to soto's .500+ obp) when trying to fully grasp the stupidity of that move: a) the pitcher had just walked the previous batter on 4 straight pitches b) before tonight, bruney had walked NINE batters in 8.1 IP so far this season (and walked 3 more tonight)

    howard has been on a pretty steady decline too.... especially his patience. his walk totals keep going down

    Wins. Determines pitcher's success. Did he say wins meant that? No. All he said is he figures Wells will end up with 14-15 wins and a 3.80 ERA. It's no different then saying what you expect a hitter's HR's to be or something along those lines. it's way different, considering HRs are something a player can control. it's pointless to predict wins when so much of it is luck

    I don't know about that, unless you are talking about on a game to game basis. The Predators pretty much dominated games 1 and 3, and the Hawks have pretty much dominiated the games they've won. Look at the scores up to today, 4-1, 2-0, 4-1, 3-0. the hawks outplayed them in game 1
