And you say I'm ridiculous? Do you believe that Jacque Jones received racist mail? Or was he crazy too? Do you believe Dusty Baker received racist mail? Or was he crazy too? Or did Cubs fans just stop being racist sometime around Winter of '09? He's saying the racist mail essentially came from Hendry & Co. Can't you see he's psycho? if you read the original article and quotes (and stop falling for garbage writing), you'll see that he didn't really say that at all

god, now i'm starting to actually hate him just because of how stupid he is. a sit down interview talking about the cubs? really? yeah, that's a great way to move on. sit down and talk about them in spring training while you're with your new team. i knew bradley was a headcase before he came to the cubs, but holy [expletive].

Last 5 years 1.24 WHIP 3.70 ERA 286.2 IP 240 H 116 BB 270 K ...while pitching in the AL East. How is that crappy? I don't know why you only went for his "last 5 years" when all he's got is a 6 year career. Because it was his rookie season and he put up 3 good years after it to show that it was probably just rookie struggles and not a true indicator of his talent. It doesn't matter though, you can look at his total career numbers for all 6 season and they still aren't close to "ass-y" or crappy. At worst, he's been mediocre. If you want to say he's not worth trading for and all that, fine. But when you purposely undersell an average/above average pitcher and call him crappy, it just hurts your overall arguments.

And then had a dominating series against the Blackhawks in the conference finals. Point remains: How Huet is playing right now is not automatically how he'll be playing in 20 games. He was excellent for the first three months of the season, and we may get that back. And even if he's awful, this team is good enough to have at least a chance to outscore other teams. of course there's a chance. just not a very good one.

Detroit's save percentages that series .938 .949 .852 (hawks win) .952 .968 so again, thank you for illustrating how big of a factor goaltending was in that series. Interesting. Detroit had 112 points last year. SJ is on pace for 117 this year. Detroit was +51 last year. SJ is on pace for +66 this year. I'm talking about goals, not expectations. Of course the odds are against you winning. That doesn't change the fact that anything other than your goal will be a dissapointment. When you have a team this good that continues to show it during the regular season, the goal is a championship. Anything less than that is a dissapointment.

and how far did the hawks make it last year? not to the stanley cup. i don't understanding why people bringing up the fact that khabi wasn't good in the last 2 series of the playoffs. he is one of the main reasons we flamed out against detroit. the goal is not to make it to the conference finals this year. the goal is to win the cup. khabi sucking last year is a perfect example of how hard it is to win with your goalie not perofmring. and if huet has an .898 save percentage in the palyoffs this season, we aren't winning the cup.

the problem is it probably won't stop when the regular season starts so, the reason for not practicing something in spring training is that your manager is deranged and can't stop doing something once he's started it? how much of a caricature do we need to create? what are you even talking about? the cubs (mostly because of lou) ran into wayyy too many outs on the basepaths last season. so when they start off the next spring training by telling players to be even MORE aggressive, it's pretty clear where lou's plans are headed.

oh and i'm with kyle about detroit. even before today, i've been terrified of getting them in the first round. not because i think they'll beat us, but because i think they have (by far) the most upset potential of any lower seed we might get in the first round. then again, nashville wouldn't be a great matchup either. calgary plz

haha i'm not saying for sure it's wasted season or anything like that though. just that i have this overwhelming feeling that no matter what we do this year, it's going to be a lost cause.
