  1. Lol. Way to go out on a limb. You picked who many consider the favorite (with Lincecum) for NL Cy Young, the reigning AL Cy Young, the two guys who are always the favorites for the MVP's, and the big team favorites in both the AL and NL. yeah, it's almost as if he's trying to accurately guess the winners
  2. apparently byfluglien has been running drills with the defensemen in practice
  3. its possible silva could end up being useful, but 2 spring training starts tell you nothing about that possibility.
  4. this will be followed by WSR blasting Hendry to get rid of colvin after his first 0-4
  5. and forgetting about defense is definitely a good way to win a championship
  6. I'm not really worried about those guys because we know Lou will change them around based on how they hit. I could see Theriot hitting leadoff all year, and that sucks.
  7. ovechkin suspended 2 games for the hit on campbell seems harsh, but whatever. i hate nobackchekin and it's his fault for constantly playing dirty
  8. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100315&content_id=8796376&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  9. just another reason to hate ovechkin sopel and johnsson need to step up. too bad they both suck
  10. that was one of the dirtiest plays i've ever seen, just because of how blatant it was
  11. I think Seabrook and Keith have taken a big step back. Keith not as big, but his turnovers in our zone are very visible mistakes. Seabrook has looked pretty bad as the year has gone on. Honestly with their regressions, Campbells injury and the presence of Sopel in general, I'm wondering if defensemen, not goaltending, is the biggest weakness on this team. but keith's big step forward offensively make up for his defensive lapses. i still think he's been better overall this year than last
  12. another thing- anybody else feel like seabrook has taken a big step back?
  13. my comments are, at the very least, arguable./ you constantly say garbage that you KNOW isn't true and that you dont even believe. there's a huge difference, and everyone knows it. your "act" is so [expletive] tired. we get it dude. you just get done saying this team is "highly mediocre" and you take issue when i say that they aren't that good? i think you're the one who doesn't know what to believe so now you're going to intentionally take my words out of context? i said theyve been highly mediocre OVER THE LAST 24 GAMES, which they have. meanwhile you're spouting nonsense about how they suck and are going to suck every year, even though you know thats not true. and what are you implying by saying that they've sucked over the last 24 games? i'd assume you're using that to predict how they're going to perform the rest of the season. i actually don't have to assume, you openly claim it. since most peopla gree this is about as good as gets for the hawks, i don't think it's unreasonable to infer that they will never come close to a cup with this team, which is virtually un-upgradeable. you really think it will be impossible for them to get a goalie in the upcoming years while we still have this good young core? really? even if we dont get one for next year, huet's contract will be up after that and we'll still be a good team. then we'll have money to sign an actual goalie.
  14. where are you guys seeing that he might be out for the year?
  15. and i suppose people take your lame-ass comments seriously my comments are, at the very least, arguable./ you constantly say garbage that you KNOW isn't true and that you dont even believe. there's a huge difference, and everyone knows it. your "act" is so [expletive] tired. we get it dude. you just get done saying this team is "highly mediocre" and you take issue when i say that they aren't that good? i think you're the one who doesn't know what to believe so now you're going to intentionally take my words out of context? i said theyve been highly mediocre OVER THE LAST 24 GAMES, which they have. meanwhile you're spouting nonsense about how they suck and are going to suck every year, even though you know thats not true.
  16. oh and i'd like to back up whoever called out byfuglien earlier. i'm so sick of that guy. not a surprise he has (by far) the worst plus/minus on the team. it was disgusting to see him casually coasting into the zone on that OT GW
  17. I'm going to continue to blast them. Because as we've seen repeatedly throughout pretty much the entire history of sports, this stuff is ridiculously fickle. The fact that they've been playing bad for two months doesn't mean crap about how they will be playing in another month and a half. They were playing awesome three or four months ago, and that didn't carry over either, so why should this? They might be awesome in the playoffs, they might be awful, but how they are playing right now has little bearing on it. how can you possibly say that when we're like a month away from the postseason? they're been playing like crap for 2 months and the playoffs start next month, but we're not supposed to factor in how theyre playing right now?

  19. Oh man, you guys are hilarious when things go bad for awhile. Also, no team in the history of sports has ever recovered from a slump, so this team will pretty much be awful forever. Guaranteed. when are they going to recover? this team has been highly mediocre for 24 games now. that's a pretty [expletive] long time an even goal differential and just 13 wins in the last 24 games, and vancouver is right on our asses. my expectations at this point are to win the first round series and then lose to vancouver in the second round. this team isn't that good and will continue to not be good year-after-year. this is why people don't ever take you seriously. just shut up.
  20. Who knows? How often does how a team is playing right now turn out to be how they are playing 20 games from now? just annoyed by your blasting of anyone who suggests that maybe this team isn't going to turn it around and become very good again. they've played like this for 24 games. it's not ridiculous to think that this may be them for the rest of the year. our defense and goaltending have both been garbage for like 2 months. it's going to be hard to turn that around.
  21. expletive Say what you want about Campbell but this D gets a lot worse if he's not out there. no, not really.
  22. yup. this team has been avarage for the last 24 games.

  24. so are you going to argue that his stl stats were skewed by a small amount of time with them when he was great? that's not a good argument either. he only had 1 bad start with the cards, and he had one great start with boston. the numbers with the cards aren't skewed. last year he was good with the cards for just as long as he was bad with boston.
