  1. the frustrating thing is that they could still easily contend if they'd spend just a little bit and if theo could just find a way to make the offense decent. we already have two controlled TOR pitchers on the roster and that's like the hardest part.
  2. theo is so busted he cant even build a team with real patience anymore. just brute forcing walks by making a bunch of dumb hitters take a million pitches
  3. baez/bryant/rizzo are 19/140 with 51 k and 6 walks in the postseason since the ws
  4. watching Schwarber ABs is just brutal
  5. you know we have greater context for this than the last 2 games, right?
  6. mediocre fastballs up in the zone just baffle the cubs
  7. Peaks and valleys with this team, on a peak there burying these clowns on the current valley Miami looks like world beaters. I thought taking pitches, grinding out at bats, was the supposed approach? 2017-19 was peaks and valleys. this is just a bigass valley.
  8. Peaks and valleys with this team, on a peak there burying these clowns on the current valley Miami looks like world beaters. I thought taking pitches, grinding out at bats, was the supposed approach? yea but that turned into staring at meatballs right down the middle with your bat on your shoulder I think the main problem with the offense is that the organization is forcing them to take walks even though they have no real discipline. they get walks by deciding beforehand to take pitches. the result is that they pass on hittable pitches, get into deep counts, and then strikeout...because the team also has contact issues. just a completely broken group of hitters that should have never been the offense to start the season
  9. I dont want to hear any of theo's [expletive], because it obviously means nothing. he literally said the offense was broken 2 seasons ago and did absolutely nothing, because hes terrified of saying goodbye to any of his babies.
  10. something oddly satisfying about this
  11. I wonder if the cubs are still chirping
  12. white sox fans don't need to see tatis doing these things on the day they got eliminated
  13. everyone watching knew machado was trying to go back to back and he did it
  14. maybe they ppd the cubs to guarantee they'd have a game to show friday night
  15. if the cubs lose, i'm definitely rooting for the marlins to win the world series. it would be the most embarrassing outcome for mlb and would really highlight how stupid this season (and the 16 team playoff) was/is
  16. why would you say this after your new coach is hired?
  17. white sox are out. reds are out. brewers will be out tonight. just need the astros and cardinals to be taken care of.
  18. Brought in a rookie from the bullpen with the bases loaded up 3-2. Walked two straight batters. he's all over the place. he used dunning for just 2 outs and 15 pitches and then went to the bullpen despite only one guy being on base. then he just started burning through guys like crazy with no real rhyme or reason. that one inning was just a disaster. rodon has been hurt all year and he sucks. and then walking the bases loaded to bring in the rookie. and where is cease?. i know he hasn't been great, but with his stuff, he's a way better option than a lot of this. intentionally walking pinder was the worst part. i can't stand intentionally loading the bases in a close game unless it's an elite hitter. pinder had a .688 OPS this season and is at .732 for his career.
  19. rick renteria is bad
  20. at first I thought this happened after they got swept and he was just trashing himself and the team
  21. so it turns out you should just start your dominant ace in the first game of a long postseason? wild
  22. wtf is this justin turner stuff
