  1. suter had 5 walks in the regular season and 4 in the 1st inning of the playoffs
  2. i honestly don't even remember a single moment from that series. all i remember is the nats giving the cubs a bunch of free runs in game 5.
  3. i'm already past the anger and am now just feeling relief that this didn't happen against the brewers or cards or something. losing to the marlins is alright. it properly embarrasses the organization, and we don't have to worry about their fans being annoying about it. cubs get to just slink out in the first round quietly.
  4. And you know what, if that's true it was horsefeathering worth it i think he meant the nlds against the nats
  5. kintzler closing it out is a nice chef's kiss moment
  6. theo's last 2 years fixing the offense:
  7. cards already tripled our runs 5 batters in
  8. cards already tripled our runs 5 batters in
  9. yu may have pitched 7 scoreless, because he is better. also doesn't yu starting game 2 mean he wouldn't have been able to start the nlds until game 2? it doesn't really matter, but there was absolutely no reason for it. it's a stupid ass galaxy brain move by ross. if you have a cy young winner and he's rested and healthy, you start him first. None this matters if the Cubs didnt have the absolute worst offense I've ever seen from a playoff team ever. true, but i can't think of one single reason not to start darvish in game one. seems like a dumb manager trying to be smart. reminds me of joe, actually.
  10. That is your take away from this? 6 scoreless innings from Hendricks wasn't good enough? They are both starting a game one way or another. yu may have pitched 7 scoreless, because he is better. also doesn't yu starting game 2 mean he wouldn't have been able to start the nlds until game 2? it doesn't really matter, but there was absolutely no reason for it. it's a stupid ass galaxy brain move by ross. if you have a cy young winner and he's rested and healthy, you start him first.
  11. sucks they won't be able to get booed off the field this year
  12. we have an organizaiton that emphasizes discipline and a roster full of guys who can't tell balls from strikes. this is what it looks like when you try to brute force patience instead of actually building an offense with patient hitters
  13. maybe we should have started our best pitcher in game 1 of the playoffs
  14. the twins have lost 17 playoff games in a row
  15. It's already paid in the luxury tax sense as it's been included in his AAV for the past 6 years, but that doesn't mean it won't be included in the Cubs internal accounting for their 2021 payroll but they have to pay it regardless of what happens
  16. the 10m buyout is a sunk cost, right? so what's stopping them from bringing him back on a cheap 1-year deal for next year to fight for a spot in the rotation?
  17. the twins and athletics are painful. it's like the 2020 cubs offense spread out over a decade of playoff games
  18. I only watched from the 7th inning on there, one of the worst zones I saw all year. Just some atrocious calls. it was the same ump who said he'd use his ar-15 if trump was impeached
  19. the falcons after every game
  20. about as well as it could have set up it's crazy that none of nym/was/phi could get in with the expanded postseason
  21. i don't think even brewers fans are excited
  22. the giants just got jobbed so hard to end their season
  23. steve stone is still a salty old bitch
