And because his value depends almost solely on him being able to go 6-7 innings each time out. AND that it normally takes him an inning or two to get his control nailed down. AND...

    Soriano isn't as bad is he is when he's cold or as good as he is when he's hot. He's not gonna keep this up and he's not gonna hit like Aaron Miles. You just enjoy this ride, put him on your fantasy bench for a week and wait until he takes another precipitous dip. Rinse and repeat. At least he looks healthier this time around. I love him when he hits, I really do.

    Hard and loose Z = wild Z. While I'm worried about his health if he's throwing harder, I'm even more skeptical about his effectiveness out of the pen. Z is gonna be cheered rowdily every time he gets out there and he's gonna be ramped up. This is a recipe for disaster regardless of the risk to his health.
