  1. The Royals could very well covet someone like Colvin..................... I wonder if they'd be willing to give up a good A ball prospect. William Myers or John Lamb would be nice, maybe too nice. Danny Duffy. A package of Colvin and other pieces for Hosmer would fit the Cubs organizational needs nicely but the Royals have very little motivation to trade Hosmer with how well he's doing. Actually with Hosmer advancing through their system as quickly as he is, including Colvin in a package of players for Billy Butler, who is about to get more expensive, would be ideal. I think Hosmer is kinda untouchable. I want the Hawaiian 1B. I think Colvin straight-up would easily do it.
  2. This sounds exactly like what Greinke would say in that situation
  3. Trying to convince White Sox fans of his awfulness is probably the most frustrating thing in the history of the universe
  4. Often the description of the South Side of Chicago... You ain't whistling dixie Hahaha. Where's IMB's photoshop right now?
  5. The Padres have a lot of incentive to move Gonzalez. There is no way they can keep him once he goes to free agency, and the longer they wait, the lower their return will be. There are only a few teams who can afford him, and while they're trading for a rental only, the amount of the looming extension will lessen the amount they have to give up initially (think Santana trade).
  6. There's a 94% chance that he's better than LaRue
  7. As opposed to St. Louis I was gonna say, I really don't think people in Cincy are too envious of St Louis STL and Cincy are both [expletive] cities, but Cincy wishes they had a modicum of STL's baseball success over their past 15 seasons. LOL @ Reds44, why am I not surprised? This guy echoes the reaction of 99.9% of Reds fans in this town. "Love what he said, you go Brandon, love that fire, love that emotion, blah blah blah." Nothing to be said of "shut up and play." Rob Dibble's meathead schtick fits this town to a "T." Oh come on, be fair; Reds44 is way worse than your typical Reds fan

  9. Joey Votto already said he hates the Cubs. really
  10. No kdding. I really appreciate him making up my mind for me.
  11. What stands out about that is that the strike zones in DSL are generally considered bigger than what it is stateside, so if the guys are taking walks, then that's showing some discipline and laying off some pitches. I would think the opposite; that the larger strike zones would give those walks less merit, as the pitches would be missing more than they'd need to in the US

  13. Awesome, thank you. What's the consensus (if there is one) on who between the two has the bigger ceiling?
  14. After looking at that writer's preseason top 20, I noticed he had neither Archer nor McNutt before this year. I understand Archer had awesome stuff, but huge command problems that disappeared this year, but what about McNutt? Why did he shoot up so quickly? Was he walking the world before, too?
  15. If I know anything about GR, it's definitely that he can only find ONE reason why Lou should be fired.
  16. It was part of the deal they worked out with him. The White Sox moved him into the bullpen because of concerns about his workload this past year and agreed to call him up at some point during the year to pitch out of the pen. Next season, he moves back to the rotation. At the major league level?
  17. "Those peaks and valleys must be murder" HAHAHAHAH
  18. It HAS to be Posey's to lose, right? RIGHT?
