  1. Maybe Dunston Jr will ALSO give us a blank check
  2. That's about what I weighed as a cub scout too Fatty fat fat FFS, I don't weigh that much and I'm 28. Of course I'm only 5'7. Yeah, I really sold out on the pun there. That's actually what I weigh now.
  3. Kujay basically said that already
  4. That's about what I weighed as a cub scout too
  5. It was a happy expletive. One of my favorites
  6. I know it's his right, but it would be a pretty punk thing to do to not accept a trade to a contender. First, it shows no appreciation for all the money the Cubs have paid him. And second, and more importantly, it shows that he really has no desire to win and doesn't want to deal with the pressure of a pennant race at this point in his career. Who wants that kind of guy around? There are no other options there? Like enjoying the city/team to the detriment of his pocketbook (and trophy case)? That's really overly critical of the guy at this stage.
  7. Kind of mystifying why he doesn't want to get moved. He has to know we aren't picking up that option next year, so the only way he gets it is if he does approve a trade. That's not to mention that he's currently on a sinking ship and should be looking to go to a contender about now. If it's good ol'-fashioned team loyalty, then that's commendable. But he's costing himself both money and a chance to win by sticking with us through this year.
  8. Why is that? We don't do it very often, and by all accounts, he was the best remaining hitter as far as upside is concerned. And of course, the jury is still out on Vitters.
  9. Hey, someone tell MLBN that Gammons isn't sounding so lucid these days. Maybe he's just bad live, but he sounds awfully out of it
  10. More negative [expletive] in the wrong thread, no less. Get rid of this guy
  11. [expletive], that's a great pick. Can I please be a Rays fan please?
  12. I thought they reached because he was an easy sign
  13. Vitters 2.0? Vitters didn't have contact issues. Vitters has issues because he frequently makes such great contact I wouldn't call it great Well, you certainly aren't obligated to
  14. This doesn't sound at all like anything else i've read on him. Yeah a lot of this is the opposite of what I've been hearing. I had read he has power potential, but has contact issues and he'd most likely have to move to 3B Same. And he appears to have a lot of loft in his swing and a very quick bat.
  15. Vitters 2.0? Vitters didn't have contact issues. Vitters has issues because he frequently makes such great contact
  16. despite the fact that there are a lot of guys I'd like here, I'm really [expletive] nervous
  17. Best bat on the board. I'd be ok with it.
  18. Now I've forgotten all the mocks. I know Washington had its eye on Bubba if he fell, but who else were they looking at? Lindor please?
  19. We're talkin about it in the Cubs picks thread
