    It would probably be hard to get players together in Chicago during the off-season... Unless KW thinks doing it in Mesa during Spring Training makes sense, I don't see another way.

    how many people really stuck with that team? i remember game threads that were 2 or 3 pages long, mostly fred doing play by play for himself. they were a complete waste of time to follow (except on rich hill days). I'll say one thing, it was a lot less stressful to watch the team at the end of 2006. Losing was expected. If they won, it was gravy. But if they blew a 5 run lead, it wasn't really a big deal because you hated pretty much everyone on the roster.     That's kinda my reaction too. Though I have to admit that I've been paranoid about Selig & his buddies tampering w/ the sale all along. I'm interested in seeing whether Canning ends up throwing in w/ another ownership group--such a group might be able to outbid Cuban. I've been eating a lot of crow lately as it pertains to the Cubs, so I hope come this winter, I'll end up being wrong again & Cuban is the owner.
