  1. This I have admittedly been wrong about this year. 1) Edmonds 2) Theriot 3) Dempster as as starter You ain't the Lone Ranger...
  2. Dave Bush... Come on offense, it's Dave friggin' Bush!!!
  3. This why Lou is so tempted to go to the regulars. No consistency from the BP often. Some of the inconsistency from the "non-regulars" might be because of the fact Lou doesn't use them enough
  4. Trade Cedeno and Eyre... and pick up Everett. Bingo...exactly what a buddy & I were talking about this morning... Sounds like the report on Everett wasn't accurate. Star-Tribune says he's still with the Twins. http://ww3.startribune.com/blogs/christensen/?location_refer=Sports:highlightModules:1 Casilla's bum thumb is forcing them to keep Everett. Well, nevermind on the Everett idea. Without a replacement backup SS, I'm not sure how dealing Cedeno and Eyre helps the Cubs. Yeah, that does change things then. I thought Everett was available AND relatively healthy when speaking w/ my friend this morning...

  6. Hmmm, the crow I'm eating is mighty good....
  7. Yes, this... Even assuming there's no special danger in sending Z out for the 8th, that's not a reason to do it either.
  8. No kidding... A scheduled Rich Hill start is akin to one of the signs of the apocalypse. Send him to a drought-stricken region in Africa to provide relief..
  9. I honestly think we lose the first 3, and Harden gets his first W as a Cub in the series finale. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so....
  10. What others have said--the TEAM doesn't have a power problem. Certain individuals do, but as a unit, power isn't a problem, IMO.
  11. Good thing for you guys those games were during a time when Kosuke still knew how to hit, which he apparently has forgotten. Hope the dude gets his groove back, and quickly.
  12. Probably. I just hope they let him start next season in the rotation. Very much so agree. I hope that the $10 million will dictate he starts next season. If Shhark can stay consistent the rest of the year out of the pen, I'd imagine it would impact Dempster being brought back (assuming a high price, which seems likely)
  13. Dunno, but I hope he does...strangely, I trust Shark more than Marmol
  14. Holding Sori at third w/ DLee coming up is not so brilliant
  15. Season is over...we're toast.
  16. Waiting for the ruling that the run is disallowed....
  17. I'm gonna go dry shave my butt & squat in a bowl of Everclear... Anything is better than watching the Cubs right now.
  18. DLee fly out--almost as good as a rbi for him
  19. Great, now we get to watch a one out double stranded
  20. Except for killing whatever trade value he might actually have....... I figure Marquis will have a decent game since the offense seems intent on ruining a good pitching performance. Losing when Marquis pitches "well" is like losing 2 games
  21. Cubs now facing an insurmountable deficit...
  22. And they may be in first place. Sad, but true
