    usually not until 2 hours before game time at the earliest Not always. The rare exceptions are these very early games, or the game coming back from all star break, late season games or playoffs. I think Lou is sticking with the same lineup just to avoid any perception of panic over the first one. One game shouldn't determine anything (although Theriot and Soriano's careers should have determined it long before now). Agree Jersey. I was giving Theriot a pretty hard time Opening Day (probably due to being out at 10 am that morning) and it seemed the people around me had the reaction, "How could you not like Theriot?" Not surprising. Bought a couple good tix behind home plate for today's game. I think TRL struggles a bit but the bats pick us up. I think we get the W today, 6-4. Gorgeous day BTW.

    i thought he said that he was going to be in town doing the DePaul game but he'd be at Opening Day. I could have misheard though DePaul game? On March 31st? Thats the weekend of the Sweet 16/Elite 8 IIRC. i guess i misheard then. when was the last time Musberger did baseball for ESPN? I know i'm in the minority, but i really like Musberger, especially for college football Didn't he do the Arizona playoff series (like 4 months ago) and was awful? that was Dick Stockton Ahh yes, that was not pleasant.

    Yes, 00600. Unfortunately I was 13717. I have never even been close to the number picked. It would not surprise me one bit if the Cubs rigged this thing for WGN employees.

    There is no way DeRosa is getting PT @ SS consistently. I can't imagine he'd be very good there at all and obviously neither do the Cubs. I'm all for an upgrade, but not Derosa moving there.
