  1. I think you are right. I also think KU is going to get the OAK/Jones package. Really? This sort of implies that you are both 80% or so on Cliff to UI. I wish I could be on board with that but I just can't be. I'm thinking 50/50 at best, but not holding my breath.
  2. Probably more excited for this season than any in a long time. I'm more of a college guy simply because the NBA regular season just doesn't seem to mean that much but this team should be fun to watch and I need something good right now. Bulls beat the Heat tomorrow.
  3. If that's what's being discussed above is called then I should be able to make it.
  4. i'd never full on hate the cubs, but i could definitely see a scenario where i barely follow them for a few years, then pop back right in (in 2019) when they start to be good again oh wait that's happening now You barely follow them yet you post on a Cubs message board? Got it.
  5. To be clear this post is coming from the guy who wanted Dayan Viciedo vomiting all over himself attempting to play the field in Wrigley's LF last year. Good english. Why did you have to reply to me to make me unblock you? Go bitch about Tom Ricketts some more.
  6. This isn't serious is it? Doesn't seem too far off to me if Trout continues his pace (which would make him one of the greatest players of all-time at the age of 26). It seems extremely far off to me. 15 years for a guy who depends on speed? Don't think so.
  7. Given the level of resource commitment to that farm system, that's basically a par. So you voted no? Good for you.
  8. Remember when everyone on this board wanted BJ Upton? That was fuckin hilarious.
  9. Yes, I mean how could you say no? 1) A top 3 farm system in less than 2 years 2) They weren't hesitant to fire a manager they didn't feel was the right fit after 2 seasons
  10. I would want nobody less than Aaron Murray...what is he, 1-12 vs. good teams?
  11. Hmm, can't really get on the Josh Reddick bandwagon unless it came at a cheaper price than what's being discussed here.
  12. I'm in. I've been in for 31 years. /only chicks, fake fans and russians like hockey
  13. Enjoyed reading that and it makes a lot of sense. So if recent history holds true we can expect about 5-6 of those guys to ML caliber and contribute (~3 will play above average). Would have no problem hitting on either Baez or Bryant (although I think it will be both), Almora, 1 of Edwards or Pierce. For fun, an example. Could easily switch some of the names around: GOOD/ABOVE AVERAGE GROUP Baez Almora Pierce Johnson Alcantara AVERAGE AT BEST GROUP Bryant Soler CJ Edwards
  14. And what the hell is a voldermort?
  15. So is it possible we see Bryant AND Baez by June next season? I know it sounds crazy but I really think it's a possibility.
  16. Our division is terrible.
  17. Reminds me of every Redskins game of late. They are never anything special but a bad fit for Bears. RGIII could rack up a ton of fantasy points. Oh god the 'Skins. I remember the first game Kyle Orton started, he almost pulled it out, but then I believe Fred Miller and company had 3 false starts in a row, led to an insane 3rd and 35 or something, and they lost to Washington without giving up a touchdown. Then you had that horrible awful, still killing me, Todd Collins game. You can't lose that game. Some part of me thinks the reason Collins was picked up as a back up was because of this game. Doubly awful. And the 2010 game. No excuses to lose that one. Donovan McNabb was terrible, the Bears were running up and down the field, and Cutler just had to throw the most inconvenient interceptions ever. I believe Hester also had a game winning kick off return waved off. So Washington has been the source of some really, really, really painful losses recently. Also, change the name already, god. Yeah I agree, the last few times we played them I thought we should win going into the game and lost all 3 in really annoying frustrating ways. The last time I remember beating them, Urlacher got a TD reception on a fake FG. These memories are insane -- I can't remember last season.
  18. Wait, who is this Elias guy and where did he come from? I could only handle 3 seconds of his voice.
  19. Almora 2B
  20. My best guess: Maddux Frank Thomas Piazza Glavine Raines Biggio I think enough people leave off Bagwell, Clemens, Bonds & Schilling that they don't make it in this year.
  21. Hmm, yeah probably not that far off. A tad less power maybe?
  22. Yes, even West coast players don't want to play out West. It's just too late for them. I didn't mean it quite like that, but guys who are 1 and done's want exposure. And it isn't football, the east coast dominates the basketball recruiting scene.
