  1. It just doesn't make sense for them to keep 3. With guys like JT Thomas being cut, it shows you the depth the Bears have now and you need to keep as many guys who can contribute on Special Teams as possible. 3rd QB is a luxury they can't afford right now; those 53 spots are too valuable.
  2. I would have had to turn close my eyes ever time Onobun came into the game. Maybe the worst football player I've seen.
  3. Yup, CFB pales in comparison to the NFL. For me it's the 4 hour games, gimmicky offenses which lead to a million points, dumb kids doing dumb things, the fans being complete loons (thinking their team has a shot at winning anything and living and dying by a 7th place SEC team) and games not meaning jack [expletive] after you lose 1 game.
  4. 2 IP, 2 K for Ramirez so far.
  5. Well, interesting pitching day if nothing else.
  6. Best Wrigley game day bars right by the stadium: Bernies Full Shilling Murphy's Goose Island Best Wrigley game day bars a tad away from the stadium: Toons Sheffields Bar on Buena
  7. How much do you love gifs?
  8. I'll say over, but I'm not sure they win a B10 game again....
  9. What did you have to give up to keep McFadden? I'm just not a fan.
  10. This was well over an hour ago. I'm assuming Zaidman tweeted that after or during being on air.
  11. The twitter quotes of his statements were a little alarming to me. Although that may just be chalked up to Marshall being Marshall. Bernstein and Zaidman were wondering aloud if it may have stemmed from Twitter.
  12. Gets to face some advanced competition and it's better than not playing at all? Is it really, though? It's like Javy last year in Daytona, except the rainouts are scheduled. Not even a hope of consistent playing time. I mean, I would assume he'll be working out at the complex at least a couple other days of the week.
  13. Dan Bernstein was freaking out about something Marshall said in an interview today. Something along the lines of Marshall being ready for the season and this having been a physical training camp. It came after a question about his dropped passes I believe.
  14. I sort of like it, it's different than I've played before. I don't play with negatives (or head to head, but I realize that's what most are) and here you will be penalized fairly heavily for turnovers/pick 6. We will obviously be looking at very low scores.
  15. I really wanted an excuse to drink beer tonight.
  16. I could probably do it next Monday night.
  17. So what's the deal with him anyway? Looks as though he's been pretty terrible since returning. 3 appearances and 7 innings pitched is a pretty small sample size to read too much into, but nothing looks glaringly wrong to me. He's given up 1 XBH, 2 BBs and 10 Ks in those combined 7 innings. I'm sure knowing that the current organization you're pitching for is probably not the one you're going to be pitching for in a few weeks had to be somewhat distracting. True, I guess I was looking at his July stats as well.

  19. That draft day thread could end up being pretty hilarious. It was pretty hilarious to me at the time. This. This site can produce some grade A overreaction at times. OMG, the middle of that thread is classic.
  20. Where on earth did this come from? He's a big dude, I mean what's he supposed to do?
  21. the book thread is done, your moment is over Sadly, I'm beginning to think that the same is true for Jackson and Olt :( Re: BJax......just beginning? This dude has been terrible for a while now.
  22. LMAO Donnie Murphy. The REAL Donnie Baseball.
  23. I'm guessing they do make some money from ticket sales. They just lose out on walk-up sales and in-game concessions. Yeah, which is 80% of their game income.
  24. I've had so much fun with Cardinals fans on Twitter today, I really need to do this more often. Feel free to read for entertainment purposes.
  25. Do old people and tourists even like baseball?
