  1. Technically Costa Rica can qualify with a draw, as long as Spain loses by 14 goals :D If Costa Rica draws they move on if Spain wins too.
  2. Boy that’s been a wonderful last 26ish hours. Think positive, Mexico. At least you won’t be eliminated in the Round of 16 again!
  3. It’s an interesting dynamic for Argentina. They’re moving on with a pair of ties. They’d obviously love to win to avoid France but if they lose today they’re out.
  4. Could really use a Denmark goal here so both have to go for it again.
  5. Australia takes the lead.
  6. There you go.
  7. 8 hours later and I’m still jacked up. Is it Saturday yet?

  9. Haven’t felt like this since Nov 2016.
  10. That was a chance to seal it.
  11. Good to hear. I figured Berhalter would be smart enough to not burn the third window with only 1 sub but you never know.
  12. Does the halftime sub count as a window? If so then we’re done with subs, right?
  13. If we want to, say, score a second goal, I definitely wouldn’t mind at all.
  14. Pulisic off for Aaronson.
  15. So far so good.
  16. Yes please.
  17. I had the same thoughts about a potential round of 16 game. Finishing 2nd isn’t some death sentence this year where you have to play someone like France or Spain. It’s a winnable game in the next round.
  18. We could really benefit from Wales taking the lead against England. There's no realistic scenario where Iran advances with a draw and a Wales win so Wales going ahead would put pressure on Iran to then try and win the game. I know this wouldn't happen if Wales scored in say the 10th minute. But if Wales is ahead at half, Iran's got to factor that in to their style of play.
  19. I’d love to see his reaction when he finds out they have the goal to a Fernandes.
  20. Thankfully Tuesday is one of my working from home days so I’ll be able to watch the whole thing in peace.
  21. Unless Japan beats Spain, right? Then Spain and Germany would be on 4 and Spain probably has the GD. Unlikely but with the way this Cup is going, I'm not ruling anything out.
  22. [tweet] [/tweet] Didn't get any better in the second half. [tweet] [/tweet]
  23. It's got to be OSU, right? Bama's only going to have one win against a ranked team in Texas who is barely ranked. OSU beating ND is probably pretty close. ND was 15th and will probably drop a couple spots. Texas was 23rd and will probably jump a couple spots. OSU also beat what will be a top-10 Penn State team on the road. OSU's loss is worse by points (by 22 at home vs. by 4 total points, both on the road) but it's also to a better team (top-2 vs. top-10-12ish). If Bama had pulled out one of those games they'd be ahead of OSU, though they'd also be in the SEC title game in that scenario and would have the chance to play their way in like they did last year.
  24. Yep. I think Georgia and Michigan are in regardless and TCU and USC are in with wins. OSU gets in if USC loses. But if TCU loses and USC wins, you have 12-1 TCU and 11-1 OSU, and I don’t know which one you pick. Neither would be a conference champ.
