  1. I'm not "fine" with the FG decision, but if you're going to do that....do it with 1:00 left after a timeout. Still have 2 other TOs and maybe you get the ball back for 2 or 3 more plays. Of course, that's even still more reason to go for it on 4th since a failure is the same result that saves you 7 yards. I believe I read 64+ yard FGs have been made 2 of 47 attempts in NFL history. Those are terrible odds, especially not in Denver where I know at least 1 of those 2 kicks made it. A friend texted me about the FG attempt last night and when I saw the distance, I just assumed the game was in Denver.
  2. Could even have called a play quickly (or called two before the third down play) and if you don't get it, you have 3 timeouts left where you could get the ball back if you get a quick stop. Unlikely you drive down in 40ish seconds for a FG attempt with no timeouts but we've seen crazier things happen. Like you said, just an awful decision.
  3. Looks like a good week to do anything else on Saturday.
  4. LOL. Tell me you don't care about winning the game without telling me you don't care about winning the game.
  5. They’ll probably either miss the FG or they’ll make it but Young will drive Bama down for the winning score. I know nobody is shocked but nailed it.
  6. They’ll probably either miss the FG or they’ll make it but Young will drive Bama down for the winning score. Or you take that sack Still made it, but SO MUCH TIME left I thought after the sack the kicker was definitely missing the FG.
  7. They’ll probably either miss the FG or they’ll make it but Young will drive Bama down for the winning score.
  8. Bama’s offense has been awful after the first two drives. And they’ve committed a ton of penalties.
  9. Agreed. Texas gets the ball in the second half too. If by some chance you get the TD there and drive down for another TD in the second half, that’s massive. Got to take some chances against Bama. Plus they were at the 2. It’s not like you’re at the 10. Go for the TD.
  10. Not batshit crazy enough for the conspiracies thread and not political either so it goes here. Why the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of King Charles III portends great things for the Sacramento Kings
  11. I can’t believe they fired him so quickly and yet I can believe it because it’s Chelsea and that’s what they do. Last manager to last 3 full seasons at Chelsea was Mourinho the first time he was there.
  12. With Medvedev losing yesterday and Nadal going down today, the only player left on the men's side to have won a major is Marin Cilic, who is currently down 2-1 late in the 4th set. So if he loses, we'll guaranteed get a 1st time major winner.
  13. Man I wish I had watched that live. I was cackling as I saw the highlights. Right when they started showing the extra point I thought "well this won't end well" because why else would they show it.
  14. [tweet] [/tweet] They had 1st and goal from the 10 followed by 2nd and goal from the 8. From there: -offensive PI on an incomplete pass -holding -incomplete pass -false start -sacked for 5 yard loss while also committing a holding penalty, which was declined

  16. Bad decision at the end of that game by the QB. At the very least you need to make sure you get the FG attempt.
  17. The ending of UNC-App St was wild.
  18. Iowa has now scored more points on safeties today than on offense.
  19. Iowa leads South Dakota St 5-3 two minutes into the 4th quarter. The two teams have 257 total yards combined.
  20. A couple awful VAR decisions for “fouls” on GKers today in West Ham-Chelsea and Newcastle-Palace. Also absurd how van Dijk didn’t get sent off against Everton today.
  21. Would be hilarious if they went on a run right after LaRussa leaves.
  22. Jameis is still the QB and your head coach has a career 8-28 record. I’m not saying it’s impossible and that coaches never improve, but there’s a big drop off from Payton to Allen.
  23. I might be overreacting a bit on 4+ games but I really think 40 league goals in a season in the EPL isn’t that far fetched for Haaland. He’s just so talented, strong and fast, plus playing on City he’s going to get a ton of chances. And he’s going to rack up a ton of goals against crappy teams that City puts 4+ past. Obviously comes down to health but if come the end of the season he’s got 40 goals in, say, 33 games, I wouldn’t be shocked.
  24. Yeah, it's insane that anyone is able to do this. If he was like a .750 OPS hitter and a 4 ERA starting pitcher, it would still be crazy. But he's 15th in the majors in OPS and, if he had 5 more innings, would be 15th in the majors in ERA also.
  25. He did the same thing with Kopech the other day too. Was allowed to start despite clearly not being healthy. His velocity was down. They let him face 4 batters and he gave up a hit, walked two and hit one before being removed. He’s now on the IL.
