    Same here. Oddly enough, I don't really have strong feelings against the other NL Central teams outside of the Cardinals and the Astros. I don't know know why, but seeing the Brewers, Pirates or Reds win it all wouldn't get to me as much as the other two. The Cardinals are the Cardinals, and the Astros have been above average to great since the mid 1990s. The other 3 have been mostly bad for 20 years with a few exceptions (hey, kinda like us!) What I want to know is why fans of every team in the NL Central have this bitter hate for us for some reason. Are they who you thought they were? Sorry, the combination of "Cardinals" and SportsCenter talking about the Bears-Niners game today made me think of that line and I couldn't resist.

    I'll watch the very beginning but I have to work at 6 (my time) so I won't be able to watch a majority of the game. I will be giving my parents a call from work to give me updates though.

    Plenty of people complained about FSU going to the BCS last year. I would say, especially after the games were completed, that more people complained about FSU and the ACC than WVU and the Big East.

    The 04 Cubs had easily had a better team than the 06 Cardinals do.

    Wouldn't Robertson start Game 7? He didn't pitch horrible in Game 3 and frankly, nobody was going to beat Carpenter that game anyway. Your choices are Robertson on his normal 4 days rest or Bonderman on 2. Personally I'd take Robertson. But the Tigers still have to win 2 games to make this discussion matter so we'll see.

    VT goes up 24-7 on Clemson with 2 minutes to go in the third quarter.

    last year he hit 276 and his obp was 290. i can't even imagine how insane that would've driven me. Wow. Only 11 walks in 2005.

    I would love to do a blog, but if I was going to do one it would have to be for all sports so count me out for that. With the new sportswriting job (and keeping my old bartending/managing restaurant job part time as well) I don't have a ton of free time anymore. I like the general blog idea though.
