  1. Didn't Humphrey have a big game against UCLA in the title game last year?
  2. Brooks just picked up his fourth. If he fouls out, Oregon is done.
  3. Lee Humphrey is ridiculous. Seven 3-pointers today and he has 23 points.
  4. That was a stupid, frustration foul by Malik Hairston for his fourth foul of the game.
  5. Florida is at 50% from outside the arc though... they've been shooting really well too. Oregon needs to rebound the ball better at the defensive end, though. It's no surprise that Florida is getting a ton of offensive rebounds and I doubt that changes at all in the second half. As for the 3-point shooting, Humphrey has shot 45% the last two years which is what he's at right now. Green is shooting better (75% today and 40% for the year) but Humphrey is the big 3-point shooter. Florida will probably drop off a bit, but not too much. Plus Noah and Horford have a combined 8 points on 1-7 shooting. I'm willing to bet that changes in the second half as well. A few of Humphrey and Green's 3s have come from open looks after an offensive rebound where their defender collapsed in an attempt to get the board. Unless the guards don't go for the offensive boards, which Florida is going to continue to get anyway, those open looks will be there in the second half also. Oregon's downfall is going to be giving Florida too many second chances.

  7. Kind of discerning for Oregon is the fact that it is shooting 57.7% right now and its still down 2. If the Ducks cool off, Florida is going to run away with this thing.
  8. Nice! Now you have two blogs to write. ;) I plan on getting to work on something in the near future. I'll also try to keep up with the re-caps this year if that's something you want me to do. I can help you out on those sometimes as well if you want. I work at night so most of my afternoons are free. Or I could do the games you won't be able to watch and get a recap up for. Just let me know either way.
  9. You wouldn't think so but apparently it does.
  10. Group A: A. Pujols Group B: A. Soriano, A. Dunn Group C: V. Guerrero, M. Cabrera, D. Lee Group D: A. Beltre, J.D. Drew, M. Ensberg -> Magglio Ordonez, M. Piazza -> Brad Hawpe, E. Chavez WC: Alex Gordon How did everybody else pick their WC choice - not necessarily picking a specific player but narrowing down the list of players not listed in the groups already? Thanks for any help.
  11. That's awesome. I missed the first half hour of the show last night. "Spend time with your kids, so Peyton Manning doesn't have to."
  12. Let's go Gators!! Keep my bracket alive.
  13. We trade Cesar Izturis for Alex Rodriguez, Angel Pagan for Miguel Cabrera, and Roberto Novoa for Johan Santana.
  14. I'm ticked because the Iowa Cubs don't come to Sacramento this year.
  15. That is amazing. That guy Atkinson is crazy fast.
  16. I will slow down to the speed limit if somebody is tailgating me but won't go much, if at all, below the speed limit. But normally I usually go between 5 and 10 over the speed limit unless I know there is a speed trap. I tend to go a little faster during the day because I can see the cops a lot easier than at night.
  17. http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/03/xbox-360-black.jpg That looks pretty slick. Any specific date for that release and will it be more expensive than the original?
  18. I see the Dolphins making a run at Carr, just like they did with Harrington. I don't believe Culpepper is fully healthy, and he's also getting up there in age. If he goes there, Carr should have an early shot at starting behind a line that is atleast a little better than Houston's. He'll also get to work with Cam Cameron who previously got to work with Brees and Rivers. Haven't the Dolphins rumored to be interested in Trent Green also? It's like they're trying to set a record for most quarterbacks acquired in two years. Hey Miami, Aaron Brooks is looking for a job too!!
  19. For the sake of my bracket, I hope you pick the Final Four 100%.
  20. Too bad for UCLA that they have to play Florida next (assuming Florida beats Oregon which I believe they will).
  21. This is a win-win game for me. Either UCLA wins and some of my friends are screwed in their brackets because they have Kansas winning it all or Kansas wins and I get points for the win.
  22. Mata's got four fouls.
  23. Let's see if he's still whining about Gilbert being a chucker. While that quote was a bit ludicrous, Kobe is shooting 46.7% this year while Arenas is shooting 42.1% but Kobe's taking half a shot more per game. And in his recent streak of 50+ point games, Kobe's worst shooting night was 48.6% and his other three were all well above 50% so he's not just chucking up shots just to do it.
  24. And if the ref calls a flagrant foul, like it would normally be called in rec league, high school, college, or NBA, Xavier wins the game too. You can't control the what the refs are going to do and can't assume anything. You can control making your own free throws. Xavier didn't make theirs, too bad for them. I don't buy that. Like if the ump makes a bad call on a play at the plate to end the game... you can say "well you shouldn't have given up the hit in the 9th" or "should've scored more runs", but when a ref screws up, he screws up. Why even have a flagrant foul rule if you're going to let a guy push an opponent down to the ground? I guess he needs to pick him up and crack him over his knee to get a flagrant foul in that spot. First, like I said before, every single foul at the end of a game when a team is trying to comeback is an intentional foul yet they never call them. If you want to call this an intentional foul, you have to call all of them intentional. Second, the free throws didn't happen in the middle of the game. If the Xavier player makes both, they are up 4 with 9 seconds left, and there is no way OSU is going to tie the game up especially since they can't move the ball to half court on a timeout like you can in the NBA. I hate the cop out on the refs when that team easily could have won the game if they did what was in their power. This isn't like the Georgetown-Vanderbilt game when the Georgetown player traveled at the end and it wasn't called. The Vandy defenders did everything they could to prevent Georgetown from scoring and the refs didn't call the traveling. But if Xavier makes both the free throws instead of just one, the game is over and there is no debate. Xavier would have advanced. EDIT: Not to mention that Xavier was lucky the refs didn't call a foul on the skirmish under the basket right before the Oden foul.
  25. QFT And a lot of bottles of Jack from pockets will be appearing I prefer the camelback approach coupled with pre-gaming, but that's just me. What does camelback mean? http://www.camelbak.com/index.cfm It's a "hydration" system. We used them a lot in the military. Much better than water bottles...helps keep your body temp down if you keep the liquid cold to start out with. I know a lot of people who used them while skiing/snowboarding for both water or alcohol.
