Howry started the inning. I don't understand why Marquis couldn't go another inning. He was only at 82 pitches and he was pretty effective. Agreed. Not to mention that the Reds had 6-7-8 coming up. I could see if the top of the order was coming up and Lou wanted a new pitcher in but with a low pitch count and the bottom of the order due up, it doesn't make much sense.
