I recall Lieber firing a one-hitter on 91 pitches in 2001. I would guess Maddux had one. Yep, after looking it up, he had a 92 pitch CG on July 22, 2004.
I think the cat is out of the bag on him...I might be wrong though. It's out of the bag with Cubs fans and probably some fans of teams in the NL Central. But I would say the cat's still in the bag when you're talking about the majority of the country. Like I said in the poll about him being on your fantasy team, he went undrafted in my editor's fantasy league that has a bunch of Giants and A's fans.
Our leadoff hitter gets his third AB of the game to start the fourth. Their leadoff hitter will get his second AB in the bottom of the fourth. Very nice.
Rich has "it" through 3. Oh, and I was flipping back and forth between WGN and the EI trial package which has the Brewers announcers and confirmed what Len and Bob said about the WGN radar guns. They were consistently 2-4 mph slower than the guns on the Brewers station.
I think it's a sign that you shouldn't watch Cards baseball. I enjoy watching them suck. I just tried loading that game and it worked fine for me. It took between 30 seconds and a minute to load but once it did, it's working fine.
Maybe Dusty didn't give Lou "the book" Nope. Dusty did give Lou "the book". In that book it says you want lefties in the lineup when a team has a righty starting and vice versa.
