  1. I know if a player is sent down to the minors they have to spend at least 10 days there but is there a minimum number of days a player has to stay with the big league club when they get called up? In other words can you call up a player on one day and then send him down the next day - not that somebody would necessarily do that but I'm just curious.
  2. Tomorrow: Chelsea at Liverpool on ESPN2 Wednesday: Manchester United at AC Milan on ESPN2
  3. Sharks with a huge win tonight to take a 2-1 series lead on Detroit.
  4. And looked spectacularly unimpressive in doing so. I said before the playoffs that they should have an easy road to the Eastern Conference finals. Now, I wouldn't be surprised to see them get bounced by New Jersey (assuming they advance). There is no reason that the supposed #2 team in the conference should only beat the #7 team in the conference playing without their top 2 players by 5, 7, 6, and 7 points. There's no excuse for that.
  5. Does it seem to anybody else that the opposing team figures our hitters out as the game goes on? It just feels that there have been a bunch of games when the Cubs score a few runs early in the game then get shut down for the final 6 or 7 innings.
  6. Time for DLee to come through with a big hit.
  7. Damn, I thought this game wasn't starting until now. Oh well, only missed three innings.
  8. I agree. I don't see how you can really say that it isn't a problem. Somebody may not think that man-made global warming is a big problem but it's still a problem.
  9. They won't. Dallas came into this thinking they could walk right through this team, and now they are screwed. Dallas might send this 6 or 7, but there's no way they win it. This is just like last year. The key game for Golden State will be Game 6. I think Dallas will come out fired up at home and will win Game 5 to send it back to Oakland. Golden State will have their chance to win the series at home and if they blow it, there's no way they go back to Dallas for a Game 7 and win. If Dallas sends it to 7, they will win the series. I agree with that, although Dallas could possibly lose game 5. I don't see it happening, but it could.. But I definitely agree, if Dallas comes back to win game 5 and game 6, there's no way I see them losing game 7. Kind of like the Cubs in 2003. After losing game 6, you just kind of had a feeling that the series was over before game 7 even started. Yeah, I could see Dallas losing game 5. The only problem is the Warriors were abysmal on the road this year so I have my doubts. As for the Game 7 thing, after the Lakers lost Game 6, I predicted they would lose Game 7 by at least 15 points. They were down 15 at halftime and lost by 30.

  11. You have 3 full seconds on the clock Dallas, you don't need to throw the ball past halfcourt. Idiots.
  12. And Baron gives Dallas a chance.
  13. Wow. What a shot by Matt Barnes.
  14. I think the voters turn in their ballots before the playoffs start.
  15. He's not. You're wrong. Why should he, because he's the best player on the best team? That logic is stupid. Look at the guys he's got around him. You can't tell me that if you took Dirk off that team and replaced him with an average power forward that they still wouldn't win 60 games. They would have had the #1 or #2 seed anyway. Same goes for Steve Nash. Put Barbosa in there and the Suns would still win 55 games. A team of Terry, Harris, Howard, Average PF, and Diop doesn't win 60 games at all. Do you think Nash should have won MVP either of the last two years? If you say yes, then you're being hypocritical. Don't forget Stackhouse. As for your question, I don't remember the first year he won it but Steve Nash should not have won the MVP award last year - though he did have a better case last year than this year, but that's not relevant to your question. The best player on the best team argument bugs the hell out of me. EDIT: I would put Dirk ahead of Nash this year.
  16. Ron Ron is at the Warriors game. Haha.
  17. As somebody who is indifferent about both the Bulls and the Pistons, I'm looking forward to this series. Should be very good. Oh and thank you to the Bulls for not just taking out the Heat, but in the fashion they did. Miami didn't deserve to win the title last year and I'm glad they're gone.
