His other two pinch-hitters are Cesar Izturis and Jacque Jones. So who's our catcher if Hill gets hurt? I'm not exactly sure. Fontenot maybe? It's not like the Cubs needed a run there. Sure, it would have been nice, but it wasn't necessary. Why not pinch hit Jones or Izturis. Heck, let Z pinch hit for all I care. I just don't think it's smart to use your backup catcher as a pinch hitter unless it's completely necessary. Oh well, it's not likely to come back and hurt us anyway.

Guess we'll see Dempster in the ninth. Not sure why Lou is pinch hitting with his backup catcher though.

By what standard? do the cubs have to turn into the 07 redsox for you to like them? jeez...they did well in atlanta...showed a lot of "pull together" in the lilly game...dempster just well...and even last night...not too bad... i don't know...i think they have done extremely well under the circumstances...that is how i feel...obviously you don't... cheers Getting over .500 would be nice.

Uh, yeah it was. He got him on the back when he was <6" from the bag. It took a pretty nice throw to get him. at least he didn't get hit in the sac again. lmao it's always a good play when you don't get hit in the nuts. Too true.

Leadoff hits are nice. Watching the Cubs inevitably fail to take advantage of it is not.
