  1. So you voted for Mizzou?
  2. Hmm, the matchup that will decide who I will lose to in the next round...
  3. Don't really have an opinion either way on these two. I'll have to hold off my vote for a bit.
  4. Definitely surprised this thing is a blowout.
  5. I might get up in time to watch this one. But probably not.
  6. Actually got to listen to this game on the radio (though it was a San Diego radio station) on the drive down to Santa Barbara today. Listened from the 5th inning on. I'm loving the solid pitching performances. Z, Marshall, and Lilly have all gone 8 innings in their most recent starts.
  7. There's no way this happens. Not a chance.
  8. There is no way Selig gets away with suspending Giambi. The players union will fight it and Giambi won't have to miss a game. This is just a stupid ploy by Selig to try and save face. The sooner he retires, the better.
  9. What if he suffers a career ending injury? Until he gets there it will always be an if.
  10. Good pictures Roast. Glad you got to see a win.
  11. Or, they could just RELEASE SCOTT EYRE. See, the problem with that is, it just makes too much sense.
  12. To address your second point first, I would say that the Yankees pitching is on par with the Cubs'. The problem for the Yankees this year has been injuries. New York has had 12 pitchers make at least one start already this year. Clemens just came back (though he wasn't injured), Mussina has missed some time, Hughes got hurt, Wang has missed some time. The Cubs might be a bit better but I wouldn't say they are significantly better. As far as the offense, I don't think there's any question that New York's is significantly better. When the Yankees are pitching well - something they weren't doing in the first two months - they are going to have a tough time. So, to summarize and answer your question, the Yankees are better than the Cubs.
  13. Especially given how bad their pitching rotation is now that Marshall, Guzman and Marmol are in the big leagues and Mateo is still hurt. LES WALROND Don't hate on Les! Les Walrond - 4.66 ERA JR Mathes - 5.00 ERA Neal Cotts - 5.68 ERA John Webb - 6.18 ERA Ryan O'Malleye - 7.52 ERA That's a first place team's rotation, people. <--shudders.
  14. Minor detail, but I'm 4-2 on the year now.
  15. careful there. the Cubs had a .390+ OBP against Weaver in this game. you bash them too much for failure to score more runs, you may be on the verge of accusing them of failing to be clutch Yeah, it wasn't all bad today. I guess they were just unlucky to not have more runs with 12 (I believe) hits they had. Plus Weaver lowered his ERA from 12.46 to 10.97 today. Whatever, the Cubs won. No need to fret too much.
  16. This is absolutely pathetic that the Cubs only got 3 runs off of Jeff Weaver in 6 innings.
  17. Indeed, you did. I think you're also the only person who has asked to be temporarily banned so you could study for your finals. LOL!!! That's good.
  18. I like that the ad on the top of the page (at least for me) was a 'You Choose 08' ad.
  19. Agreed. This is a tough decision.
  20. Wow. This one is coming down to the wire also.
  21. I just watched an short interview with Tony Parker on ESPN and he said 'ya know' 3,492 times while he was talking.
