  1. He has an ERA of 3.46 which is behind only Marmol for guys who have spent a decent amount of time with the club. You could include Cherry who has a 3.00 ERA in 15 IP which would still put Wuertz third.
  2. The offense put up 1 run against Wandy Rodriguez in 8 innings. Place your blame there.
  3. You don't think Kendall is going to hit a walkoff home run? :?: Sorry, not a walkoff, a go-ahead home run. still, what does that have to do with not winning it in 10? KENDALL IS ON Epatt bunt? Because if Kendall hits a home run the Cubs could try to win it in 9. It's the top of the 10th  Huh. I could have swore Gameday said it was the top of the ninth. That's what I get for trying to follow along while covering a River Cats game.

  6. Can we have Pujols take an AB for us this inning?

  8. giving up already? come on man, don't you at least want to put up a fight? have you seen his posts. This is about par for the course. The only player that tries on this team is Ryan Theriot. that's ridiculous. if trying were enough, the league would be full of .500 teams. I am being sarcastic lmao. Are you and MurtonFan brothers? Because it sure seems like it.
  9. Has Hill looked as good as his line suggests he's been?
  10. Regression to the mean. The Yankees have the second best ExWL in the majors at 70-42 behind only Boston's of 70-41. The next best are the Tigers, Angels, and Padres at 62-48. More fun with ExWL: While the Yankees are underperforming the most based on ExWL at 8 games (they are 62-50), the Diamondbacks are the team that is outperforming based on ExWL. Arizona, which sits is 63-50, has been outscored by 29 runs this year and is playing 10 games over their ExWL. Arizona is followed by the Cardinals (7 games over) and the White Sox (6 games over).
  11. It looks like you can vote as many times as you want as long as you clear your cookies.
  12. The only one who did it correctly was the little girl - Colleen - because she said "Let's get some runs" at the end. And Barry C., holy crap, somebody shut that guy up and never let him sing again.
  13. It's still the Brewers on the road. Which is a good thing for their opponents.
  14. Boy, bringing EPatt up is sure going to help the outfield. The Cubs must be making DeRosa a full time OFer while Soriano is out.
  15. I don't think anyone thinks it's an issue of the new owner not wanting Z. Thats the only thing I don't really understand. His contract regardless of size should have no bearing on a new owner. Why would the Tribune foot the bill for something they won't be a part of in a few months? How do you figure the Tribune company would be paying for the new contract? The new owners would be stuck with whatever contract the Trib gave to Z. The issue is the guaranteed money in contract that will be owed to the players in the future years. The more guaranteed contracts means the more the potential buyers know they will have to spend if they purchase the team.
  16. I think Griffey could because of how much of his contract is left. Also, and this isn't directed towards you, but what's the deal with the team option on Dunn's contract if a team picks him up? I would assume that if he's traded, that the option would be voided and he would be a FA after this year. But in the unlikely scenario that somebody claims Dunn and the Reds say 'go ahead and take him' what happens with that option since he technically wasn't traded?
  17. Bloody @#$@@!! Sox. Now it isn't possible for us to make a deal for him. lol. banedom just said in the game thread that censored swearing is against the forum's policies ;) That is true. The reference is more towards something like sh$t, but I can see where you might think the line is fuzzy. :banned:
  18. 2007: .260 .336 .400 2008 (age 28) .271 .351 .425 2009 (age 29) .267 .342 .416 2010 (age 30) .264 .346 .406 2011 (age 31) .266 .342 .410 Great for a second baseman? Not at all. But adequate? Sure. And those are certainly better than your garden-variety backup middle infielder. Thanks for the numbers. And yeah, like you said, those numbers are definitely adequate for a second baseman.
  19. You don't get it, do you? If bitches is such a bad word then why isn't it censored? NO WORDS ARE CENSORED! That's not even the point. What about Rusch? EDIT: Holy crap, the word filter is gone. How disappointing. no it's not. Well, it's gone for Rusch, which is disappointing.
