Will Ohman splits: vs righties: .304/.355/.464/.819 vs lefties: .224/.308/.379/.687 I'm assuming you still have Ohman's wonderful outing against the Phillies on Thursday fresh in your mind and that is why you want him gone. Here is who Ohman faced on Thursday: C. Roberson - switch A. Nunez - switch C. Coste - righty C. Ruiz - righty J. Werth - righty T. Iguchi - righty J. Rollins - lefty Now, if you bring in a lefty, you know that Roberson and Nunez are going to hit right handed, i.e. the type of hitters that Ohman struggles against. Now, I'm not taking all the blame off Ohman in that situation because he still allowed the hits but there is no reason that he should have been brought into the game in that situation. And that one is on Lou. That being said, I don't like the idea of having a pitcher on the roster who specializes in getting guys out who bat from one side of the plate but struggles against guys who bat from the other side. It's just not worth it, IMO.
