  1. Good to get the series win, but it would be nice to sweep one of the crappy teams on the schedule.
  2. Palace beats Man City in the FA Cup Final to win their first major trophy ever.
  3. No but they were already down 2-1 in the series and it was about to be 3-1 when Tatum got hurt. Decent chance they lose that series even if he didn’t get hurt.
  4. Nailed it. Welp we're one game away from this actually happening. Only once in NBA history has the NBA Finals not featured a 1 or a 2 seed, which was 1978. That year Portland was the defending champ and started 50-10. Then Walton, who ended up winning the MVP, got hurt and they got bounced early. But that year a 1 and a 2 seed made the conference finals. So if OKC loses on Sunday, it will be the first time ever that no 1 or 2 seed even made the conference finals.
  5. Tatum might have just blown his Achilles.
  6. I mean we have the Marlins, White Sox and Marlins in the next 9 games followed by Cincy and the Rockies. I’m not going to panic unless they struggle against those teams. But it’s not outlandish to think we could go like 11-4 in that run.
  7. Vegas just scored on an own goal with 0.4 seconds left to beat Edmonton.
  8. Because of how bad the Rockies are, at first glance it seems like the White Sox have improved. But they’re on pace to win only 43 games.
  9. Would be hilarious with these three dominant teams we’ve had all year if none of them made the conf finals. I’m sure at least one of them will get through since four of the five losses were by 3 points or fewer. But this is still shocking. Home teams 0-6 in the second round so far.
  10. On the plus side, at least Pressly decided to regress numbers wise all in one outing rather than giving up 2-3 runs on 3 separate occasions and potentially blowing more than 1 game.
  11. Yeah, he was brought in to face 7-8-9. If Counsell still trusted him, Pressly would have gone in the 9th.
  12. I had the same thought. No point in throwing him a fastball after that.
  13. Why even make that throw to first there? Just cost us another run.
  14. I might be overreacting in the moment but that has to be a top-5 knockout tie ever.
  15. Confirmed certified classic. Barcelona scores in the 87th, Inter in the 93rd, Yamal with a chance to win it right at the end and we’re going to extra time.
  16. Another classic in the making between Barcelona and Inter. Inter was up 2-0 at half and it’s 2-2 after 60 minutes now.
  17. Cubs medical staff says it's mild? See you in July, Shota.
  18. So Cleveland, Boston and OKC all lost game 1. Just like we all predicted.
  19. Yep! 1.6 seconds left. Love an overtime Game 7 in hockey..
  20. James Harden crapping the bed in Game 7? Who could have seen that coming?
  21. Considering we're league average in runs allowed per game and ERA, I don't think we're going to lead the league in shutouts pitched. As for the offense, they're on pace to score 992 runs this year, which only 9 teams since 1900 have ever done. So that won't happen. But could they lead the league or be close to it in runs per game? Sure. Prior to today the Cubs were averaging 6 runs per game which was nearly a full run more than the 5th place Reds (5.09) and 6th place Mariners (5.07).
  22. Some former Cub on former Cub violence as Javy robs Soler of a HR.
