  1. Well at least something good came out of tonight.
  2. Edwin Jaxon? Phil Humber. Gave up 9 runs and 8 runs in two of his next three starts, got sent to the minors later in the year and then relegated to the bullpen and finished with a 6.44 ERA that year. Career 5.31 ERA also. And his was a perfect game also.
  3. Lakers keep their pick, which was all I really cared about.
  4. And that's three wins in GS and SA for OKC after those teams went 79-3 at home in the regular season.
  5. Durant and Westbrook didn't even shoot very well (17-51). And it would have been significantly worse than Curry and Klay had those two not missed a few shots that were chucked up at the end. OKC has to be beyond excited after that.
  6. I would assume the play is dead but I'm not sure. In that specific scenario, though, they called a DP anyway for the slide by Bautista.
  7. Yeah, Odor is going to get a few games off for that one.
  8. Yeah, if there was any doubt the Cubs are completely in their heads, it's gone now.
  9. I'm choosing to believe Spurs did it so Arsenal would keep Wenger and then underachieve for another year.
  10. Really nice of Spurs to no show basically the last 3 1/2 games. The 2nd half of West Brom was terrible, they lost their minds against Chelsea, did very little against Southampton and had a good 20 minutes today. The Newcastle PK changed everything. Spurs got a goal back and were up a man and Sissoko went down with no contact in the box and the ref took the bait. Very disappointing end to the year.
  11. The 2015 Cards never had a 9 game division lead at any point. http://www.baseball-reference.com/games/standings.cgi?date=2015-06-28 Looks like they were 9 up once, after the games on June 28. That was the high point though.
  12. Cards lose again. We're now 9 up on both the Pirates and Cards.
  13. Which is hilarious because the Pirates hit more batters than anyone. 2016: 15 (t-5th in MLB) coming into today 2015: 75 (1st in MLB) 2014: 88 (1st in MLB, 19 more than 2nd) 2013: 70 (1st in MLB) The Cubs, meanwhile, are 21st (this year), 24th, 15th and 5th over that same span.
  14. They've got 33 errors now on the year and he's made 9 of them.
  15. Cubs match the 1907 team for best start in team history since 1900. The +104 RD is the fifth best since 1900, trailing the 1902 Pirates, 1939 Yankees, 1905 Giants and 1912 Giants.
  16. Clayton Kershaw struck out 13 and only walked 1 tonight and his K/BB ratio actually went down. He came in at 21.33 and is now only at 19.25 K/BB (77:4).
  17. Drop Carlos Gomez Add Jung Ho Kang
  18. The Cubs had as many losses today as they did in the 16 games prior to that (starting with Jake's no-no). Which means they're still 14-4 in the last 18 games.
  19. Like David said earlier, we're still winning this game. Three more innings plus their manager isn't going to burn through relievers either.
  20. 4th time through plus their good hitters were coming up. If Kyle gave up a dong, we would have complained that he should have been removed.
