    They had a 15 game lead 3 weeks ago. Even worse: they had a 14 game lead 10 days ago. EDIT: Just over Pittsburgh, not over the team in 2nd.

    Thanks to the ump for calling two borderline strikes for a guy who just walked the pitcher on 4 pitches.

    I'm sitting directly behind him. He cannot receive.the throw was mental but he's costing Lester strikes. There's a bunch of people smarter than I am that have rated him positively from a framing perspective so far. If Welington Castillo can be a ML catcher, Contreras certainly can. A couple of the close Lester pitches were good frame jobs.
