  1. Fred's list is a bit out of date. I updated it (and will keep it updated until he returns) on the second page of that thread.
  2. I sent him a PM about starting the thread after you were done but weis went and did it. He never said anything so I figured he wouldn't care. If he wants his turn next, it's his.
  3. They should have taken until he threw a strike. First three batters did that. Last two didn't. Szczur put himself in a hole by swinging at two pitches out of the zone. KB should have been 2-0. If he is, he probably takes the third pitch which likely would have been a ball as well. Just stupid.
  4. Familia didn't throw strikes last time and he didn't this time. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
  5. Yep, Familia can't throw a strike. No need to give him one.
  6. I'm getting flashbacks to that wonderful fake rally against Familia a couple weeks ago. Please don't do it again, Cubs.
  7. Such a BS inning. Two bloops and two grounders and they get a run out of it.
  8. Nice DP! EDIT: Looks safe. Nevermind. At least they got the lead runner.
  9. For a second he sounded like he was going to flip out, but retreated into his typical pouting silence. I'm surprised he even said "And we lose this game 4-3." I figured after "High and deep", he wouldn't say anything.
  10. Courtesy of Pat: deGrom threw a complete game 1 hitter yesterday and the only hit he allowed was to the pitcher. It was the fifth time a Mets pitcher has done that in franchise history.
  11. Was just coming to post about this. I should have waited a minute so we could have had our third simultaneous carbon-copy post this year. Haha. Chance missed, I guess. He's through 6 now and only thrown 72 pitches. And the Pirates and Nats are on to the 16th.
  12. Well they got 1 today, not that 1 run in 41 innings is much better.
  13. Was just coming to post about this.
  14. The rare walk off balk tonight by Santiago Casilla.
  15. Odds are they're going to get hot again. Next bunch of games: 3 vs. Milwaukee 3 vs. Philly 2 vs. Seattle 3 @ Milwaukee 3 @ Atlanta 3 vs. Cincinnati 3 vs. San Diego I wouldn't be surprised if Pittsburgh is leading the WC race come the middle of August.
  16. Cards gave up a run in the eighth and one in the ninth and trail the Marlins 7-6 in the bottoms of the ninth. Lead off hitter singled to start the inning, though. EDIT: K, K, 1B, K and Cards lose.
  17. The losing skid also started when Richard went on the DL.
  18. Please start the second half like you started the first half, Cubs.
