I'd be surprised if it was wet Sunday. Looks like tomorrow is the best chance for rain (and even then, it's only a 30-40% chance tomorrow). Hopefully it just rains in the morning and stays dry for the game. I don't particularly want to get wet.

The Cubs are 3-5 in their last eight games. However, two of those losses were by 1 run, two by 2 runs and 1 by 3 runs. A couple things go different, they could have been 5-3 or better. Additionally, in that stretch, the Cubs are a +3 RD because of two big wins over Pittsburgh. Despite going 3-5, the Cubs are still 28-11, which is a pace of 116 wins. And the difference between the Cubs and the second best team (O's, White Sox, Nats, Red Sox) is 0.5 more than the difference between those teams and the 14th best team (Marlins).

I didn't remember it was you, but we both posted a thread for the "Other Games Week of 4/25" at the exact same time, in which we said basically the exact same thing. Some serious déjà vu. Haha, yeah, those two threads were the first thing I thought of when I saw your post.

Holy crap has he been horrible. Yep. He's been terrible, deGrom's velocity is down 2.5 mph (his K/9 is down from 9.24 and 9.66 the last two years to 5.75) and Matz just missed a start with elbow and forearm tightness.

No idea why Soler is still batting 6th. Russell's been hitting significantly better the last couple weeks and there's no platoon advantage since they're both lefties.

Yeah, ARod would have to be the closest comp. ARod was older, but only going into his age 28 season. He had 7 years and $179M left on the deal with the opt out, so realistically, 4/$98M. He played a premium defensive position and had averaged about 9 WAR the previous four years.
