  1. Oh good, Heyward up with 2 outs in a big spot.
  2. I get Chapman not wanting to throw multiple innings in most cases but he should be able to go out there after only throwing 3 pitches.
  3. Nice job, Grimm. Get a run and then Chapman time.
  4. I'll take the 4-6 weeks considering the potential alternatives. Hopefully he can get back before the end of the regular season and get in a couple appearances in low pressure situations when we have the division locked up.
  5. So probably a tear of some kind for Strop. It's been a week for Rondon, why not just DL him? We're going to need another pitcher for the Milwaukee DH next week anyway.
  6. Was just about to post this. His last start was June 26 (so 6-8 fewer starts than the guys around him, which is 25-33% of the season to date) and the closest person is 0.7 fWAR behind him. If you go bWAR, Scherzer just passed him (4.7-4.5) and he's made 8 more starts than Kershaw.
  7. Even an MCL tear he's done until the playoffs at least.
  8. I don't think its his achilles cause he took a couple of steps afterwards and was in some pain, with achilles he doesn't ever make it off of the ground. I'm thinking hamstring or quad. Hoping for cramps. He's not getting carried off the field for a cramp http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/article/media_slots/photos/000/467/509/146571482_crop_exact.jpg?w=340&h=245&q=85
  9. I'd rather see the Cards in the playoffs than the Mets. I'd rather see neither. Those are 1a and 1b of teams I absolutely do not want to lose to. I'd rather lose to the Mets than have Dusty Baker go to the World Series by beating the Cubs. Cards are No. 1 though.
  10. First 7-hit game since 1975.
  11. http://m.giants.mlb.com/sf/video/v1027865183/sfmia-posey-slides-awkwardly-and-lands-facefirst/?affiliateId=clubMEGAMENU That's probably what most of us would look like if we tried a headfirst slide.
  12. There are 4 or 5 sections behind the Cubs dugout that are about 90% Cubs fans. Was the same thing yesterday also.
  13. My fantasy team is quite pleased right now.
  14. I enjoyed this part of ESPN's story on it: Like there was ever any sort of chance ARod was going to take less than the full amount he was owed.
  15. http://www.fangraphs.com/coolstandings.aspx 99% to win the division Back to being projected to win 100 also. I didn't check every day but after the sweep of Pittsburgh to go to 47-20, they were projected for 103 wins, which I'm assuming is the high point. EDIT: They were at 103.3 on June 4 when they were 39-15.
  16. Texas is 64-47 with a +2 run differential and they're outperforming their pythag by 8 games. Washington is only 1.5 games better than Texas in the standings but is 15.5 better by pythag.
  17. I love that in 2016 I can't watch the Olympics live on my TV because they have to start their show at 8 pm out here just like on the East Coast. Just show the damn thing at 5 pm.
  18. So many near dongs today. Hopefully I'll get one tomorrow.
  19. Wood started warming last inning and is still throwing in the pen. I bet he'll start the ninth.
  20. That person is a couple sections over from us.
  21. Nothing else to root for so of course the A's fans just started the wave.
