Adam Wainwright allowed 9 runs in a game for the second time in his last three starts. His ERA was 3.79 after starting on June 1. It's now 5.75.

Meanwhile, none of the 10 NL teams currently out of playoff position are within 2 games of the playoffs. The four teams that are closest to playoff position are all in the Central. The Reds (last place) are 6.5 out while the Marlins (2nd place) are 10.

That commercial is great. Foot Locker also mad the commercial last year where Ben Simmons asks, Towns, Booker and Russell for advice on being in the NBA and Russell takes Simmons's phone and throws it out the window.

Outside of being 3-5 in the finals, LeBron probably won't get as much play as he should but he went for 41 (on 19-30), 13 reb and 8 assists tonight and averaged 33.6/12/10 in the finals.

So West shoves Irving and gets a technical, then goes face to face with Thompson and only Thompson gets a tech? That's terrible. Either you do double techs and West gets tossed or Thompson shouldn't have gotten one.

Even if Mexico had won yesterday, they would try to win the Panama game anyway. And I assume Costa Rica finishes top-3 also so I'm not worried about them either since where you finish in the top-3 doesn't matter.

Eddie Butler has the best ERA on our staff right now (excluding Monty since he only has one start).

This probably won't end up mattering but only because of the order of the games. Mexico plays Panama at home next so they're trying in that game regardless of opponent. Next is Costa Rica on the road (same thing as Panama). Third is T&T at home. They're in last so we probably don't have to worry about them. Assuming Mexico wins the two home games, they'll have qualified before their last game in Honduras. And if losing to Honduras will hurt our chances of getting third/fourth, you know they'll put a second team out there even if it costs them top spot in the Hex.

I don't care how easy the schedule appears. This team got swept by the Padres. No opponent is easy for this team.

I saw on the MLB Network scroll the other night that the Angels recalled Brooks Pounders and sent down Damien Magnifico. I know the Angels have a bad system but I don't think making up fake players is going to help much.
