  1. No homers in over a week for Stanton? Don't worry. Matt Harvey's got this.
  2. Technically they were right. 2015 was a fluke. The last four years they won 90, 100, 86 and 84 (extrapolated).
  3. The Cardinals playoff chances and the number of posts in each game thread followed the same trajectory: Friday: 308 Saturday: 91 Sunday: 44
  4. Not very often you see a split where a guy's batting average is 120 points higher than his OBP (in more than a couple PAs). Carp was .568/.444 before that PA.
  5. The first three balls to Garcia were all better pitches than strike 2 to Jay was.
  6. What's that? A marquee boxing match between two big name fighters ended in a draw which will certainly lead to at least one more fight? I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you.
  7. Facts about today's Florida-Tennessee game: -Florida won 26-20 on a Hail Mary -Florida didn't kick the extra point because there was no time left on the clock -The spread was Florida -6.5
  8. If the Cubs had to get swept by the Brewers last weekend in order to sweep the Cards this weekend, I'm perfectly fine with that. Sweep these idiots tomorrow.
  9. Woah...has...has Trump ever tweeted anything about Mad Men? Quick Google search, Trump JR tweeted about Jon Hamm TODAY Sounds like some advice for pops.
  10. Just saw the Brewers are starting Jeffress tonight, who has appeared in 263 game over his 8 seasons in the majors and has never gotten a start. Do they really not have anyone good enough in the minors who is a better option than a bullpen day?
  11. all Willy did was say something about next tuesday "i'm a big fan of your wife" The ump is married to Mia Khalifa?
  12. They were 4 games back in the loss column entering the game tonight, that very likely isn't happening despite the LOLDodgers recent suckage. Plus, they've got HFA in the only series they're guaranteed to get and there's a decent chance that the Dodgers lose in the DS which would give the Nats HFA in the NLCS anyway.
  13. This week is also easily the best time to pick the Raiders. Home game against one of the worst couple teams in the league. other non divisional home games are Dallas, the Giants and Baltimore plus they have New England in Mexico.
  14. The fact that they actually played this game on Monday is insane. Could have done it either Tuesday or Wednesday. Both teams are off on Thursday but the Dodgers are going to Washington so they wouldn't want to play Thursday, but Wednesday is a night game so they could have done a DH then. Plus since rosters have expanded, they wouldn't have to worry about not having enough players.
  15. I enjoyed Romo on the broadcast. You definitely couldn't tell it was the first time he'd done a game. I can see why people thought he'd be good at it.
  16. With the Indians streak I was looking at the list of longest MLB winning streaks. The 1916 Giants hold the record of 26, though they did tie a game in there. That team also had a 17 game winning streak in May. Despite that, they finished 86-66 and 7 games back of the playoffs.
  17. He's 5 years behind Sergio Romo. http://eltecolote.org/content/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Clarivel-Giants-Parade_61web.jpg
  18. Ok so who bet on the Rams scoring the most points in Week 1?
  19. And the Indians have caught the Astros for the best record in the AL. They were 13 games up on Cleveland and Boston in late July.
  20. How long before Schwarber Fan pops in and complains about how we're going to get swept by the Brewers?
