    Update: 3. Colombia 26 (+2 GD) L 1-0 vs Par at Per 4. Chile 26 (+2 GD) W 2-1 vs Ecu at Bra 5. Peru 25 (+1 GD) T 0-0 at Arg vs Col 6. Argentina 25 (+1 GD) T 0-0 vs Per at Ecu 7. Paraguay 24 (-5 GD) W 1-0 at Col vs Ven Chile put itself in good shape today but Argentina and Columbia blew chances to put themselves in great position. Going into the last week, only Paraguay can't get at least 5th win a win because Columbia and Peru play each other (the loser of that is probably out).

    That's dumb. Sports isn't just about pure entertainment. Why did the NBA expand to a 7 game series for every round? There are fewer upsets now in the first round because of it. I'd say that's more fair to the better teams in the NBA. They did it for money and the chance for 2 more playoff games.

    Tito is setting himself up for the Yankees to knock Bauer around in Game 1 then steal Game 3, and all of a sudden he's relying on Josh Tomlin to keep them alive in Game 4.

    I know the Wild Card games haven't even been played yet but I didn't see a better place to put this. Looks like Joe showed Tito how to hit the bottle during the World Series last year because the Indians are starting Bauer in Game 1, Kluber in Game 2 and Carrasco in Game 3. Why? So this removes the option of Kluber and Carrasco starting 4 times in the series. He also says it's to keep Kluber on regular rest since he'd have five days off between Games 1 and 5. However, Kluber pitched on the 30th which means he'll get an extra day off before Game 1 so Francona isn't keeping him on his normal schedule. Just seems like a case of the manager trying to get too cute with the rotation.

    Also ask if they want a freelance post “Why this 2017 Nationals team is different and why they’ll break through in the playoffs.” And then go ahead and do ones for the other 3 NL teams also. You can wait on the AL teams until the ALCS so you don't have to do as much work.

    It's kind of their fault since he was hurt against them but Florida State would almost certainly still be ranked if Francois hadn't gotten injured. That being said, remember when the SEC West was good?

    Does anyone know if the radio feeds for the postseason are included with the normal MLB.TV subscription or if you need the Postseason TV for that? I won't be able to watch on Friday so I'm trying to figure out my streaming options.

    Yeah, every time you think a team is good, they lay an egg the next week. It's only been 4 weeks but yeah, I have no idea which teams are actually good this year.

    They started it last year, every game on the last day of the season starts at the same time. Think they hope there's division/WC spots in play to add some drama. It's so you don't end up with a scenario where one team doesn't have to try because their situation was determined by a game earlier in the day and it benefits some other team just because they played 3 hours later. They started doing it in soccer years ago because a couple teams in the World Cup played a boring draw so they would both advance (had there been a winner, the loser would have been eliminated). There was also an instance where one team knew how many goals they had to score to win the tiebreaker since they played later in the day.
