  1. Man this has been fun. Don't even care that there haven't been any runs in like 3 hours. Hopefully the series ends like the last time the Dodgers played an 18 inning World Series game.
  2. Ohtani is the first player to reach base 7 times in a postseason game. Ohtani is the first player to reach base 8 times in a postseason game. Ohtani is the first player to reach base 9 times in a postseason game.
  3. Was at the game last night. With a few minutes left he was something like 2 or 3 assists and 3 or 4 rebounds short. I thought the easy one would be the assists since the Kings started double teaming him to make somebody else score.
  4. LOL this is just an absurd sequence.
  5. Including Indiana is totally justified, assuming Cignetti stays, but it’s still really weird seeing them included as a team that if you don’t play them, it makes your schedule easier.
  6. I mean that’s what he should have done. Do what you have to do to advance and worry about the next round if you get there. Don’t save a guy for a series that might not happen.
  7. Not arguable. Strictly with the bat, Judge is better.
  8. Well it’s not the fewest runs. My dad, who is a Dodger fan, remembered the Dodgers scoring 2 runs in the 1966 WS against Baltimore. They got 2 in the first game and then were shut out the next three games. They got 17 hits though.
  9. If this isn’t the fewest runs and hits in a four game sweep, it’s got to be awfully close. 3 runs and 12 hits is pathetic.
  10. That was pretty awesome. The place went nuts when Dumper donged to tie it but this was another level.
  11. 9 years ago… High drive into right back at the wall it is GONE. Grand slam, Montero! Game 1 hero!
  12. If only they were the Cardinals they'd have more to choose from.
  13. Kittridge, Hodge, Pomeranz, Brown and Keller all averaged more than 1 K/IP.
  14. Yeah, I mean unless I’m missing something, there’s no reason he shouldn’t score there. There’s 1 out so he should be tagging, in which case it shouldn’t matter whether or not the CFer caught the ball. Just wait until he catches it and jog home. It’s tougher for the other runners since they won’t be tagging anyway (well the runner on second might be). But the runner on third should 100% score there.
  15. I'm really not sure what exactly you're arguing with at this point. The original post was that normal people don't behave like this, which it seems like you agree with. It also seems like you agree that he needs to tone it down and that acting like this doesn't help him. I mean, is he unique in that he's literally the only baseball player who throws his helmet like this? Nope. You got me there. But I would venture a guess that he's in the top 0.01% of baseball players in terms of how often he slams his helmet. And Misiorowski getting overly excited early in a playoff game and PCA slamming his helmet countless times this season aren't comparable in any way really.
  16. It's most definitely not. How many other players slam their helmet after a vast majority of their PA's that end in outs? It's fine to slam a helmet in frustration after a big play. But he does it after striking out in the second inning of 0-0 game in August.
  17. Wait so you’re saying it’s bad to be sacked the same number of times as you complete a pass and to lose more yards on sacks that you have passing yards for the game?
  18. I’d rather keep Shaw and hope he figures it out a bit at the plate than trade him and get Suarez.
  19. Just 1 if you get an OF bat like he said. Then you have the FA bat and PCA, leaving one spot open.
  20. https://www.mlb.com/news/cubs-set-roster-for-nl-wild-card-series This says he was named to the roster so must have not gotten into a game.
  21. We had to start Boyd on short rest in G1 and couldn't trust Shota to pitch at all in Game 5. Starting pitching at the end of the year was definitely a problem. With better starting pitching, maybe we take either G1 or G2 and win the series in 4.
  22. There are no legitimate excuses. But I'm sure Jed and Ricketts will find "excuses".
  23. I saw earlier they were up 1 at halftime but just assumed they were going to win. Losing to Northwestern at home ... oof.
  24. The Cardinals would have to finish in last place for like 30 years straight for my hatred of them to wane.
  25. Going to enjoy watching the ALCS. Will probably skip the NLCS though.
