He has a 12/1 k/bb in MLB, and had about an .820 ops in 550+ pa at aaa before that line this year. Ok? A top 100 prospect hit well in his first turn in AAA at 22 and got better, and is hitting well in MLB and that is somehow unexpected I guess? Your doomboner for Javy must be raging. He does have a 38% K rate and his BABIP is .391 so his numbers are definitely inflated but it’s also less than 100 PAs. Looks like he’s always been a higher K guy in the minors (though nothing outrageous) but has put up solid numbers while being young for his level. Scouting the stat line but it seems like there’s at least some potential there.
