  1. Like you don’t want him or don’t think we get him? Don’t want him because I’m a big fraidy cat who thinks every big contract we sign is going to hamstring us when their shoulder or wrist or knee gives out.
  2. I’m all for getting rid of him but this is dumb. If you can get any sort of return for him, do it.
  3. Jesse Rogers just posted a story saying Maddon is expected to keep his job next year.
  4. They deserve to gloat a little bit but we almost have as many postseason appearances in the last 4 seasons as they do ever. I hope they horsefeathering go down in flames. I know it is their social media person but it is still a reflection of their organization I don’t mind the joke. I bet our social media person made some jokes at Pittsburgh and St Louis when we bounced them in 2015.
  5. No but we’ll leave this one up for you. http://images.performgroup.com/di/library/omnisport/fa/67/cubs-world-series-banner_vvinwnnncr7m1uzsgrtqeq2mq.jpg?t=1528863587&w=960&quality=70
  6. The 9th inning when Davis was trying to give us the gave but Murphy and Schwarber wouldn’t take their walk and Willy tried not to lost the game for us. Murphy yes. Schwarber got hosed though. That’s on the ump, not Schwarber. On 2-1 sure. But Davis had tried to walk Murphy, did walk Contreras and started 2-0 on Schwarber and then he swung at a pitch well up and in. I know Davis probably throws different pitches but even if you give him the 3-0 strike (which the ump would have done), the fifth pitch was well outside the zone. Schwarber set that whole thing in motion but not waiting for a strike.
  7. Abso-effing-lutely. Of everything that happened last night, this pissed me off most. bryant's strikeout in the 12th where they were obviously pitching around him to get to terrance gore was pretty bad, too. The 9th inning when Davis was trying to give us the gave but Murphy and Schwarber wouldn’t take their walk and Willy tried not to lost the game for us.
  8. I wonder how much, if any at all, of Rizzo’s terrible April was due to trying to adapt to Chili’s new approach. Im trying not to draw any conclusions from a short quote after back to back tough losses that ended their season, but I wonder if Rizzo didn’t just say horsefeathers it I’m doing it my way. Could have just been a crazy slump mixed with a bunch of bad luck too that had nothing to do with Chili.
  9. You’re not going to hit the ball anyway. Just take the pitch.
  10. Gore is a part of two full postseason runs with the Royals and doesn’t take a single PA yet Joe manages to get him two in a winner take all game.
  11. Chili gave their hitters some advice before the game.
  12. like 2 hours ago i said why not bunt him. the slightest bit of luck or misplay and he's safe. Sure he will definitely try to bunt but I don’t think he’s any good at it Can’t be any worse than he is at actually swinging the bat.
  13. It’s Game 5 against the Nats last year all over again. Except we could actually score runs last year.
  14. Sure, just keep swinging at balls out of the zone. That will go well.
  15. “They’ll be talkin about the hug for a long time”. Only because you dipshits in the media will beat it into the ground.
  16. Even year magic requires some random ass scrub to win a game. Enter Caratini.
  17. Arenado put his hand on Javy first horsefeathers off Bud Black.
  18. Just let him hit. Better than Caratini and then Hamels hitting.
