  1. Are the New Years Six required to pick the next highest teams after the bowl affiliations or did they willingly give us 4 SEC teams? I’d much rather see Washington St or WVU in there instead of Florida or LSU.
  2. So I’m watching Lakers-Mavs and DeAndre Jordan goes to the free throw line. The graphic says he’s shooting 77% from the line this year. I think, surely this must be a typo. This is a dude who only shot over 50% from the line twice in 10 years and topped out at 58%. Check basketball reference and yep, he’s at 76.5% on the year. Good for him but how come he didn’t learn how to shoot sooner?
  3. Did Washington pick him up yet?
  4. So what was the purpose of this if the Cubs were going not going to tender him a contract?
  5. As far as releasing the scum bag, sure. But pretty sure they had knowledge of the incident way before today. And they still employ Tyreek Hill.
  6. Can’t be. That horsefeathers Ross was there.
  7. Circumstances are a bit different this year than 2014. Not saying it won't happen but I think OSU would have to look a lot better than OU to jump them.
  8. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  9. Game over. 74-72 aTm. Highest scoring FBS game ever. More points scored tonight than either aTm-LSU men’s basketball game last year.
  10. 7 OTs! Only the fifth time a game has gone to 7. None have gone to 8.
  11. LSU-aTm is 58-58 going to a 6th OT.
  12. So for sure in the playoff we have Notre Dame Alabama-Georgia winner Clemson is in with a win Then it comes down to Oklahoma or Ohio State. I still don’t think Bama gets in with a loss especially if Oklahoma wins but i suppose they could beat out OSU if they lose close and OSU looks like crap and barely beats NW. Wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Texas, NW, Bama, Clemson and UCF win just to see if the committee would go UCF or a two loss team.
  13. Pretty good chance IMO, but you never know with the committee. OU wouldn't have any wins as impressive as this one and their defense is really really awful. On the other hand, Purdue and Maryland. Yeah, without having gone game by game through the schedule, I’d say OU gets the nod. The problem for OSU is Oklahoma was already four spots ahead, got a good road win this week and will have a chance at a better win than OSU next week. Even if OSU blast NW like they did Wisconsin a couple years ago and OU looks terrible and wins by 3, I’m not sure it would be enough.
  14. UCF’s quarterback just suffered a bad injury. Looked like a broken leg. They didn’t show a replay.
  15. I love the ESPN Playoff Machine. Also managed to get one with 21 teams to 9-7 and one with 23 teams at 8-8.
  16. Giants-Saints was 52-49 in 2015. Only 5 games have ever gone over 100. Record is Giants-Redskins in 1966, final of 72-31. Nope. And nope. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest_scoring_NFL_games I'm not sure what you're looking at: It also shows 4 100+ point games (the fifth by football reference was in 1948): 113 points (New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins, 1966) 106 points (Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns, 2004) 101 points (Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Oilers, 1969) 101 points (New York Giants vs. New Orleans Saints, 2015) So how exactly am I wrong? EDIT: Other than the mistype of 31 instead of 41.
  17. Giants-Saints was 52-49 in 2015. Only 5 games have ever gone over 100. Record is Giants-Redskins in 1966, final of 72-41. EDIT: Fixed score.
  18. Nobody cares about my FCS team but... UC Davis won more than 6 games for the first time since moving up to FCS, went 9-2 and is the #6 seed in the FCS playoffs. I’m horsefeathering stoked. Dan Hawkins is the coach and they’re a fun team to watch only scored less than 40 twice this year, against Stanford and against Eastern Washington, who is the 3 seed. Hoping they can at least win their first game and we’ll see what happens from there. Go Ags!
  19. Nice win for Washington State today, 55-14 over Arizona. What’s that? *checks score again* Sorry, that’s the score at halftime.
  20. Was looking up deGrom’s numbers and saw he had a 1.98 FIP. So I looked up who had the lowest ever and it was Christy Mathewson in 1908 at 1.26. Out of the top 17, only one was after 1910. It was 1999 Pedro at 1.39. Next best post 1910 was Doc Gooden in 1984 at 1.69. As if we needed more proof that Pedro was insanely good.
  21. If you’ve got 13-0 Clemson, 12-0 ND, 12-1 Mich/OSU, 12-1 WVU/Oklahoma and 12-1 Georgia, Bama isn’t getting in. They’d be ranked over a 1 loss Notre Dame and probably a 1-loss Washington State but that’s it. Bama only got in last year because Ohio State lost twice and then beat Wisconsin in the Big 10 title game. Clemson, Georgia and Oklahoma all had 1 loss and got in before them and Wisconsin was the 5th. If Wisconsin beat OSU, Bama would have been out since Wisconsin was ranked 4th by the committee before the conference title game.
  22. Yeah but it would definitely take away Michigan’s potential spot. Alabama has played so damn dominantly that it would be hard to see them dropping completely out with a neutral loss to a 1 loss team. I think Bama gets left out in that scenario. The reason they got in over OSU last year was because OSU had two losses and the second loss was by 31 to Iowa. If OSU had won that game and went 12-1 with the Big 10 title, they’re in and there’s no controversy. They might have gotten in if they lost that Iowa game by less than 7 also.
  23. Watching live, it looked legit at first. Guy sticks his arm out right as the Bama player dives then puts his arms up like he didn’t do anything (which seems to happen on like 98% of blocks in the back). The difference is in this case he didn’t do anything. And the ref hi threw the flag was in the right position but that happened to be the worst view to make that call correctly. But yeah, the ref blew that thing horribly.
  24. http://isgrudengoneyet.com Well this site popped up a couple weeks ago so can’t be that popular.
  25. Ah, I was only thinking future draft picks not former 1st rounders. I get what you’re saying now. I don’t think they know where they’re playing next year. It won’t be Oakland and the Vegas stadium won’t be ready yet. I read one report that the UNLV stadium is an option.
