  1. Chatwood today: 3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 K, 0 BB. CHATWOOD IS FIXED. Last time he had a regular season outing of over 2 innings with no walks was Aug 2016.
  2. 100/$500M. Lifetime contract.
  3. Surprised he didn’t get any opt outs in there.
  4. As far as the hair goes... This picture is from a deadspin article posted last September. Prior to the article being posted, the last time we played in St. Louis was the end of July. If you google him and search images, there are a few other pictures that show some thinning in that area, though not that pronounced.
  5. wasn't that a meaningless game though? I tried to look for that HR earlier on YouTube and couldn’t find it. It was mid-Sept against the Brewers. The Cubs hadn’t clinched yet so the game wasn’t completely meaningless. Believe DLee had a walkoff single in like the 11th to win it Here's the game: https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN200809180.shtml
  6. Underrated one. Cubs hadn’t really gotten going yet. Looked like they were playing well but then went 2-5 against the Reds and Phillies including getting swept at home by Philly. Up in the ninth but the pen blew up and KB saved us. Cubs took off from there.
  7. I agree, we’re winning 103 again and won’t need deadline moves.
  8. You forgot to include the third tweet where they reported he was actually hitting on a little league field rather than a ML field.
  9. The Cubs did in signing Lester (A) Grade is too low.
  10. Awesome...But to compare apples to apples, what is the Padres' commitment beyond 2022? It's a hell of a lot higher than $8M, but that's a purposefully overstated difference. Could be only 1 year of Machado if he and Hosmer opt out. Hosmer would have 3/39 left on the deal and would be going into his age 32 season so it’s not likely to actually happen.
  11. Well, one former board member thinks it's absolutely abysmal.
  12. Well he does get to play the Cubs 18 times instead of 6 so that should give his numbers a boost.
  13. Major Louisville meltdown in progress. They were up 19 with 6:43 left but after a string of terrible turnovers it’s down to 5 with 3:30 left. Nobody wants the ball and they’re throwing it all over. In that span they’ve had 5 turnovers and only one attempted shot.
  14. Today was about as shameful as it gets in his gunning for 30. Up 15 with 1:57 left, Mavs call a timeout and he stays in. Makes 2 FTs with 1:18 left to go back up 15. There's a foul a few seconds later and he still stays in. Then he chucks up a 3 with 50 seconds left to get to 31. Wish he would have missed that one just so he could have stayed in and jacked up another 3 with 15 seconds left. And yeah, he's super boring and I can't stand watching the Rockets play.
  15. It really is impressive how he manages to be wrong every time.
  16. After seeing the result of today's Chelsea game is Pulisic thinking... A) Is it too late for this transfer to get voided? or B) Well, at least I'll be guaranteed a starting spot.
  17. Am I excited about watching what should be a 90+ Cubs team that has a pretty good chance to make the playoffs again? Yes. I absolutely am.
  18. I regret every second I spent watching this game. -it was boring as horsefeathers -the Patriots won -I didn't win any money in the squares pools I was in
  19. That’s one way to put it. As an NC State fan this game just about broke me emotionally. It was like flipping a coin 100 times and incorrectly calling heads when it fell as tails 98 times. I’ve looked at this box score 4 or 5 times now and it’s gets more and more unbelievable each time. I mean, scoring 24 points in a half is bad, even if you’re playing Virginia or Wisconsin. And then you’ve got Virginia Tech who only allowed 24 points and couldn’t even double the other team up. If you told Virginia Tech’s coach that they would only score 47, he would assume they’d lose by 15. Plus this wasn’t the worst team in the conference; NC State was ranked. None of it makes sense.
  20. Bet this was a thrilling game to watch. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore?gameId=401082755
  21. Could also argue that guys that tall tend to not have super long careers and he’s already blown his knee out. Plus you’re getting back a guy who was picked No 9 overall in 2017 and just turned 21. Obviously time will tell but even if they don’t get a major FA, this could be a good move for the Knicks.
  22. The number is up to 76 after last night. [tweet] [/tweet] He’s been assisted on only 11.4% of his baskets this year which is the lowest in the league.
  23. He deserves it but kind of funny that a closer is the first one to get 100% of the vote. Also surprised some dope didn’t leave him off.
  24. The two of them have been in more Super Bowls than any other franchise in the history of football. Would have thought Dallas had been to at least 10. I thought they lost a couple more than they have but they're only 5-3.
