  1. He's got a .303 OBP and a .791 OPS after tonight. Coming into tonight, he's been worth -0.3 bWAR and 0.0 fWAR.
  2. Well the Brewers lost to the Giants so that's good.
  3. Looks like old CB is going to be terrible for all 9 innings tonight.
  4. Someone tell Monty to throw some horsefeathering strikes.
  5. It was a close call. Maybe, but I prefer the force out rather than having to make a good enough throw to be able to get the tag down.
  6. Post Lakers breakup but before the Celtics got KG and Allen maybe, so 04-07? Mavs, Spurs and Suns were good all three years and Houston won 50+ twice. Those first three were probably the clear favorites in the West each year though. 06-07 was probably the move competitive in the East. Pistons were winding down (53 wins and 4th of 5 straight conf finals trips). LeBron made the Finals but the Cavs only won 50. Those were the only two that won 50 that year. Shaq only played 40 games for Miami and they only won 44 games.
  7. Best I could find, but last year at this time there were 4 or 5 teams (depending on the Lakers) with title odds better than 20-1. This year there are 8. Last year, there were 16 teams with worse than 100-1 odds. This year there are only 9.
  8. Was thinking the same thing. Every decent to good team is going to think with the right moves, they could win a title. The West is a crapshoot because the Warriors aren’t hanging over everything. The top-4 in the East all have major free agent question marks. We’ll have a much better idea in a month but right now, there isn’t a clear favorite in either conference.
  9. Yeah, the difference is the Warriors were going to lose if Draymond didn’t call the timeout. I don’t think that’s why he called it. I think it was just instinct in the heat of the moment. But if he doesn’t do that the clock runs out. Honestly, given how many people on the Warriors on the team were calling for it as well, it wouldn't surprise me if they all knew to do it if needed. That’s true. Didn’t think about that.

  11. Congrats to the Raptors. They were the better team all series since Durant was out. They deserved it. Wish they would have won it at home though. Hope Klay isn’t hurt too badly. It’s never good when the knee buckles to the side like his did, though it didn’t seem to be nearly as bad as some we’ve seen. EDIT: So much for that. Klay tore his ACL.
  12. Hey guys, I tuned in when it was 3-0 so you can blame me for the 6 runs. I've turned the game off now though. Sorry for not doing it earlier.
  13. Even GR thinks this is ridiculously excessive.
  14. Didn’t Rizzo do the same thing last year? That one actually led to a couple runs because the catcher was throwing the ball.
  15. it is. i still think gs will win, but i'm not even made about it now. I wouldn't be shocked if the Warriors won but I still think Toronto will get it done. Last night, the Warriors made the second most 3's ever in a finals game (20) while shooting 47.6% from 3 and they needed Toronto to shoot 8-32 from 3. And they still only won by a point. Before he got hurt, Durant contributed to that by hitting all three of his 3's. I know I'm cherry picking one stat but the Warriors made 20+ 3's 7 times in 103 games this year while the Raps made 8 or fewer 3's in only 14 of 105 games. Raps have won games by 9, 13 and 14 while the Warriors won two games by 6 points total. Of course, the Warriors still do have Steph and Klay so it's entirely possible they combine for something like 13-27 from 3 in each of the next two games and the Warriors pull it out.
  16. So we're assuming that we're definitely going to lose the series to LA and that the Brewers are going to roll the Giants (remember they just lost 2 of 3 to the Marlins)? Got it.
  17. Two on, no out, get a couple here, please.
  18. I think Durant is done for the series now. Hope he didn’t make it any worse.
  19. Fun fact: Campana has a .853 OPS in the Mexican League this year. Of course, league average is .868. Funner fact: Felix Pie currently has a .459/.546/.823/1.369 line in the Mexican League this year.
  20. From the ESPN story. Thought this was kind of funny:
  21. Not if we’re factoring in off the field issues.
  22. One more baserunner, unless he gets to 2 outs first.
