Ok, someone needs to explain to me why Mane was offside today. I thought that the arm didn’t count as being offside because you can’t score a goal with your arm. But the review clearly lined up with Mane’s arm. Did that part of the rule get changed?

I didn’t watch but why not go for the FG anyway at the end? At least then worst case scenario is you go to OT if Seattle gets a TD and the 2 point. That’s not to say they shouldn’t have gone for 2 earlier though. I get you want to kill the game if you have the chance but the ability to not just lose in regulation seems valuable. It is valuable, but so is 1) the chance to end the game right there, which is a pretty good one and 2) the field position difference witch is especially significant with that amount of time left. It's a wash math wise, it's pretty much personal preference. I figured it was probably pretty close on which choice is more likely to result in your team winning the game. My personal preference is definitely to just take the 3, especially because of the 2-point conversion. If they were up 4, I’d probably want them to go for it.

Things are not trending in the right direction. They should just forfeit games for the offending teams at this point. Maybe that will wake them up. If only they had done the smart thing and built in a bye week or two during the season, say one after week 8 or 9 and one after the season. But then they’d risk not having football for a weekend which they can’t have.
